Its been months since my latest update: dropahead stage #2: Make it a real project!, let's start with a little:
DISCLAIMER: The @dropahead account represents a group of people with diverse opinions. My witness updates should never be taken as official communication from the @dropahead Project, but my personal opinions regarding the matter.

Following some bad news (Yeah! they happen all the time...)
Witness suspended :''( - May the witness force stay with us!
I think there should be a debate on what makes a real witness. Officially, a witness should run a witness node that makes the STEEM network stronger so that it can support the always growing computing demands of its users. That is something I'm willing to do but @dropahead's income is very low, it can't hold the infrastructure expenses (hosting bills) alone. Currently I'm actively looking to partner with existing witnesses. If you want to join forces, let's talk! I'm listening on steem.chat's #witness channel.
You might wonder what happens with your witness vote to @dropahead, I kindly ask you to vote for another active witness of your preference. BUT, keep an eye on @dropahead, it would come back at any time and every witness vote will make a difference!
Muted by Minnowsupport :( - They focus on individual accounts only
This is fresh news, the @minnowsupport account just flagged @dropahead with a nice and silent mute, which in practical terms is a ban form their free services. They claim that focus is on individual accounts only, but it should be some recent policy change, because @dropahead was approved early this year by Discordiant (the same guy stating that they "changed focus" now). Anyways, this is a free world, I can mute @minnowsupport too:

And... that is the result of bad diplomacy. Hope they change their mind someday!
RIP Streemian :( - Hello to our very own curation trail!
This is good news for me due to less headaches.. but still bad news for @dropahead because we lost a fair amount of voters along with their financing. If you are an old streemian users, please consider joining our curation trail instead (keep reading).
Thanks to the wonderful and very safe SteemConnect you can now grant to @dropahead the permission to use your vote. The system is programmed so that your vote is used only when your VP is higher than 80% and up to a couple times per day. Remember that @drophead reinvests all earnings on buying or leasing more STEEM POWER, curators and promoted authors are rewarded with a @dropahead's vote after a careful process of review. Because @dropahead's focus is always on supporting undervalued quality content.

#portuguese channel abandoned! :( - We can still curate other languages!
This is the kind of news that make me sad. I was very exited to start supporting the Portuguese speaking community but our funds aren't so attractive to curators so we currently have nobody willing to do the job :(
The good news is that I still have huge interest on allowing a third language (since we currently curate Castellano and English). If you are part of a curation team that is willing to join forces with our project please consider the following:
- Curation should happen everyday (good user base and a dedicated curator is a must)
- Your language should be supported by the Rosette API
- Authors should earn a @dropahead membership (ask them register here: https://discord.io/dropahead and to join the trail)
- The use of discord for communication is mandatory
- Curators must understand and follow the @dropahead's curation process
NOTE: Curators earn rewards in form of upvotes from @dropahead.

In comparison to the first 150+ days of the dropAhead curation team, there are some interesting numbers:
- 16,000+ posts/comments upvoted by @drophead as of today [versus] 5,000+ as of the first 150 days
- 230 trail subscribers that sum up ~17,000 SP altogether [versus] 157 witness votes as of the first 150 days
- ~58 reputation points and ~2900 followers! (I'll keep track of this one from now one)
- One curation helper bot (this is topic for another update)
- One voting queue to optimize the @drophead Voting Power (another post pending here)
Future plans
Just one thing:
Keep working hard to make @dropahead a real project
