My Witness List🔬(...And Why I Vote For Them ✅)

Witnesses — Steemit.png

@zeartul

'The Dark Templar' is a unique witness that has 3 things putting him above and beyond most other witnesses. The voting bot @bellyrub is his pet, and probably gives you the best ROI of any bot out there. The @bellyrubbank he runs gives users the best APR for deposits on the entire Steemit platform. Those two alone should be enough to say he's providing extreme value to the blockchain, but let's throw in the fact that he HASN'T MISSED A SINGLE BLOCK in his efforts which puts him in an elite class of witnesses. He is currently ranked #74 and there are only 2 others ranked above him with this amount of stability in securing our STEEM production. He has been very supportive of #thealliance and our activities and we see him as a great Steempeep!

@suggeelson

He has recently thrown his hat in the ring as a witness and #thealliance supports his efforts. He was an ally before he decided to make his bid, and as such, is fully supported by us. He is a front-end developer that we expect great things to happen with. Always supportive and willing to take on a challenge, he also has a unique ability to write engaging posts about different health foods and their benefits. To see the kind of work he does, visit http://suggeelson.com and you can start to understand what he's going to be bringing to Steemit. He has already reached the top 100 at #88 and will continue to climb with the rest of us.

@ura-soul

This guy just set up his server and is adding himself to the witness list. Very interesting and engaging cat and I'm glad he is stepping up. He totally captured my vote in the comments on his post about the application for two reasons. He was going back and forth with @teamsteem (who I now have much less respect for because of his comments) and something he said to @kafkanarchy84 that just blew me away as I am the of the same opinion.

Yes, I do need to examine more of the witnesses and their stats to figure out who to vote for - I just thought maybe there were some you voted for due to their intentions on a personal level - these are how I ideally choose who to vote for, coupled with their technical abilities and performance, since they will maybe influence which hardforks get support and which don't.

This was in response to @teamsteem noticing his bid and only voting for 6 other witnesses, trying to get @ura-soul's vote. @teamsteem said, "You clearly need to get more familiar with the witnesses. I'm surprise you are only voting for 6. Don't be too scared to vote for some bad "witnesses". Your choice will be better than random chance." Um...no. Shame on you. Witnesses are the 'bitcoin miners' (as Ura put it) and just like him, I choose mine WISELY. The other comment he made was in good form and has my utmost respect, in re: of @kafkanarchy84 -

Before I say anything else, I just want to make clear that I support FREE WILL and real balance - so regardless of the political ideology that some of my ideas might be associated with in any particular observer's mind, the reality is that if any idea/policy results in overpowering people and preventing them meeting their needs then I don't support it.

@sircork

Now this guy, I didn't know much about until @shadowspub started a new radio show a few weeks ago called 'Pimp Your Post Thursdays'. He is one of the Emcee's/Hosts of the show. I'd seen the name, sure, but didn't really know anything about him. This is only the 3rd witness I've ever talked to on voice so I was a little more receptive as to what he had to say. If you check his profile, he is very supportive of fellow Steempeeps, often resteeming quality posts. That's great and all, but he got my vote because of the fundraiser he is involved in. It's called YouAreH.O.P.E. and can be seen on @youarehope. Help-Opportunity-Purpose-Empowerment. Check it out when you have time.

@dragosroua

This guy is just on top of it. He posts 2-5 times a day and most of it is crypto-related. He often posts about STEEM and different places it's going. He's got a neat sense of humor and I think that's what got my vote. I've never actually talked to him (though would like to) so not sure about his actual demeanor, but he definitely puts out quality posts and knows what he's doing on the backend. One of the few that hasn't missed a block. For me...that's kind of a big deal ;)

That sums up my write-ins and there is only one other on my list that I will give more than a brief summary about. That is @aggroed. This guy went back and forth and with me for almost a week trying to troubleshoot getting logged in and making Dtube work properly (which we never could - after over a week of trying different things I gave up on dtube...not a fan of them taking 25% off the top anyway). To me, that was huge. He went out of his way and didn't have to. Gave me attention and seriously TRIED TO HELP. And you know the best part? He's not even the dev of Dtube. That's why he gets my vote, he's a great Steempeep.

My Other Witnesses

  1. @timcliff - Great Steempeep, I see him many places I go, just started the 'discussion' tag
  2. @roelandp - SteemFest anyone?
  3. @someguy123 - anonymity is a great thing
  4. @good-karma - who doesn't want that?? Plus he made eSteem, which is really cool
  5. @klye - he just cracks me up
  6. @pfunk - gigantic supporter of music on Steemit
  7. @anyx - I like kitties 🐅
  8. @ausbitbank - who likes Minnow Support?
  9. @furion - I can't wait for Viewly!
  10. @pharesim - SteemInvite? (nice logo btw @orcheva)
  11. @fyrst-witness - the 'fyrst' whale vote I ever got was from @fyrstikken
  12. @blueorgy - amazing dev

Who Do You Vote For???

I would love to know who you vote for and why. I currently have 12 more arrows I can use. I'm sure there are a couple that would get my vote if I just seen them around or actually knew what they did. There are some you might be like... 'Why doesn't he vote for so and so'? I had others on there actually. Some stopped doing what they were doing and lost my vote, faltering in the consistency of what being a witness should be. Some are now outdated and have missed too many blocks recently. Various reasons. But yes, tell me tell me!
