Here is the witness update from @skenan
For the past two months, I have been working on the following three items:
1.Maintain the CNsteem.com && Sync it with the official condenser codebase
CNsteem.com is the Chinese version of Steemit front end. It used to help Chinese people access the steem blockchian quickly and easily. Util now, it has been steadily running for 3 months. Here is the last week's data got from Google Analytics:
Basically it serves more than 300 users and generate about 5K page views every day . It is not so huge, but we are growing.
Also I got a "cute" logo for CNsteem.com from @angelina6688 (She is a great designer!). Look at the logo, she combined the "CN "and "Steem Whale" together, how creative it is! Thank you so much @angelina6688. I will change it soon.
2.Create a new project: CNsteem.io to help Chinese people create Steem account within 1 minute
The code for CNsteem.io is fully open source. I built with Python-Flask in 3 days.
Here is the way I use to create steem account:
- People pay for $2 (about 13 RMB right now) in CNsteem.io
- CNsteem pay 0.2 steem + delegate 14 SP to create a new account + (0.3$ + 2.99%) transaction fee paid for Stripe
- After about 3 days, I will revoke the 14 SP and delegate 2 SP to meet its daily usage.
- After 30 days, I will get the 14 SP I delegated.
It has been running for 2 weeks and created 200+ steem accounts. Right now, people can only pay $2 with Alipay, I have no plan to support credit card right now, that's because I may run out of my SP...
3.Translation work for Steemit
- Work with Steemit team to support the Chinese language in steemit.com. We tested in https://steemitdev.com/ and it worked fine, but we still have a date format issue need to fix. I will try my best to make it release in next week.
- Work with @timcliff and @klausv587 to have Steemit Blue Paper(Chinese Version) pushed in Github
The Goal in 2018: Create a fully customized Chinese front-end based on Steem blockchain. It's a long way to go, but I will try.

许久没更新见证人记录了，趁着有时间，把过去的几个月做的事情总结一下，主要做了以下三件事
1.CNsteem.com 的维护工作
CNsteem.com稳定运行了3个月，我大约每周和Steemit官网代码同步一次。
根据Google Analytics的数据显示，每天有300+ 用户使用CNsteem, 产生大约5K+ Page View。
这其实不多，但在没有SEO，并且中文用户较少的情况下，其潜力也是巨大的。
另外大家可能知道，我请@angelina6688为CNsteem设计了一个新Logo。她完美的把CN和Steem大鲸结合在了一起，简直太有才了！！ 十分感谢！我争取这周末把它给换上。
2.CNsteem.io 运行顺利
CNsteem的注册服务上线了2周，在付费的情况下，已经帮226人完成了注册。
我也想过开放免费注册，但看到有人连续注册 @zhongbencong @baoerye @wujihan 等币圈名人的情况下，我还是决定继续维持收费服务，一能筛选用户，二能节省Steem Power。
3.Steemit的翻译工作
最近几周在transifex.com 帮Steemit官网进行中文汉化，虽然CNsteem上使用中文很久了，但Steemit.com是个多元化的平台，需要支持多种语言，前端代码的支持就可能出现问题，现在有个日期格式的问题还需要修复，等这个解决之后，争取下周能让Steemit官网支持中文！
Steemit官方对中文区也开始加大了重视。前段时间@timcliff (排名前二的见证人) 发帖请求Steem 蓝皮书的中文翻译，我碰巧发现，就联系到@klausv587，和他一块把他之前翻译的蓝皮书提交到了Github
2018年的计划：争取能开发出一款基于Steem的全中文定制的UI，这个难度应该不小，但还是尝试一下。
