Steemit.com is a Blogging platform based on a decentralized Blockchain called STEEM.
As Bitcoin, the Steem Blockchain generates Blocks like "mining". However, the concept based on the Steem is the Delegated Proof of Stake (DPOS).
In the DPOS system witnesses are delegated by the collective Steem Power to generate Blocks.

Difference between follow and upvote someone as witness
As i explained into this post,

follow someone it's not the same to follow someone as witness because the second choice gives people declared as Witness, the possibility to generate blocks and to earn Steem Power.
For doing it you need to "upvote" a steem user witness into exact section.
When usually someone pass through my posts i see they follow me and don't upvote me as witness....
This is not only my problem, but it's a general colletive problem of all witnesses. We need more upvotes becuase cost users NOTHING and give us the possibility to make more projects!!!
So the questions are:
1-Have you ever voted someone as a witness?
2- Why not?
Do you know it cost you nothing and give us the possibility to make good projects?

Now i Wanna demostrate what i'm saying....
One of the TOP 30 witnesses called @drakos created a useful site to check the witnesses activities:

Now we have to explain that only the first 20 witnesses generates blocks every 0.1/0.2 hours.
If you see my position i still waiting from different hours to generate a block:
This is why i need more upvotes to bring forward my projects!!!!
In this days we have around more or less 600.000 users on STEEM Blockchain.
Have you ever wondered how many users vote for the witnesses?
If we return on @drakos website we can see the "TOP 20 WITNESSES" have between 11.000 and 6.000 voters...
This is ridiculous if you think on the number of Steem registered users.
Another question is:
People don't want to upvote or simple don't know what that means?
Now if you pass through my posts please upvote me as your witness, because i'm working HARD on Steem blockchain to help users.
HOW TO FOLLOW OR UPVOTE SOMEONE AS WITNESS?
1- Go to the site https://steemit.com/~witnesses
2- At the bottom of the page Click on "If you wish to vote for a witness outside the top 50, enter the account name below to vote. "
3- write the name of witness to upvote on (for example yanosh01)
4- Then click Vote
