Home again – a witness update

This last month I was traveling together with @suesa visiting many steemians and seeing a lot of europe in the process. Today I am finally coming home again, with a new outlook and the motivation to post more on this blog. If you want updates, kindly follow @suesa-random as there will be a daily travel diary starting tomorrow.

I am still one month to go for my bachelor thesis and this next month will consist of a lot of writing. So when I write anyway, I can also do it for steem too. We have a hard fork and many changes where I can post about my stance as a witness. And generally happened a lot in the last months.

BuildTeam has published the new SteemVoter Beta and we are ironing out the last bugs, testing it under load and adding new features as users find a need for them. We are also reworking our rpc infrastructure and have many changes in that department. And as always we have many new cool things that are soon to be released. But I will keep quiet about them for now.

I will soon update my witness to appbase as it seems to have stabilized with the newest bug fixes and will try out and review the hard fork 20 codebase to be ready for the fork. If you have any topics concerning HF20 that I should write about, drop me a comment or mention me anywhere, I am always available for questions in german and english.

I started a curation guild that I plan to extend over time and am still looking for those awesome people that fit exactly my taste. I am rather too picky than not picky enough so don't be discouraged if my guild is not voting you. You can always create your own and curate the people you like. Maybe I like your selection and trail that. Or other whales jump on it.

The crypto correction and generally low prices have us all somewhat sad and slow. In my opinion this is the best time to become active and to show you still care about steem, regardless of price. I don't have a big bank account to buy crypto with but if I had, right now is the time to buy more. People like @dhenz got it right in my opinion: @dhenz/why-i-bought-250k-steem-during-the-dip-and-just-getting-started

I am writing this through the @steempeak interface with the new scheduled post function while I am in the train so my reactions might be delayed by bad internet. But I could not resist having a go at cool features that I wanted for decades ;) I recommend you try out their interface, it rocks.
