Steemians far and wide! @Juicy-shark and @Kodieamos (as @Cryptwo) are starting a Witness server!
Cryptwo
Cryptwo is comprised of two oddly unique humans who are in search for a community with no physical bounds.
The only boundaries in our way are the ones we set for ourselves.
The sentence above isn't just from the @Cryptwo members @juicy-shark and @kodieamos. That sentence breathes life through the whole platform.
BRIEF HISTORY ON US
@Juicy-Shark
Gday Steemians, My real name is Max and I'm a 20 year old student from QLD Australia, currently studying software development and have a background of game development and many, many unreleased prototypes. I've always had a particular fascination towards cryptocurriencies and the technology behind it. I have been researching it in my own time for about a year and a half now but was never aware of Steem or Steemit.com until @KodieAmos and I had a conversation over facebook. We have been friends since the start of highschool. I immiedately jumped over to this site and was in awe of the potential the site holds for the next few years.
It was during my first week I knew that I wanted to undertake the challenge of being a witness and find different ways to support the platform myself and be apart of this great community. Ultimatley to see what this site will be achieving in the coming years. With that said today marks my 80th day here on steemit and I have been working away so that today we can announce the launch of our witness Server Cryptwo and our future plans on this site.
@KodieAmos
It is December 2017. I am Kodie Amos. I identify as a male and I'm 19 years old from NSW, Sydney Australia. (Am I a hip now?)
I've been on steemit since September. I remember how I found Steemit! It was around midnight and I was searching the internet for information. Anything mildly interesting, to anything better than the same Facebook Newsfeed I had read 20 times that day. I was fumbling through Youtube recommended videos and found myself watching reviewers for a cloud mining service. Then I found myself in what I call the "Youtube Explains" corner of the net. I was soaking up information about bitcoin, dash, monero, neo and a few others. Finding myself fascinated with the implications and ramifications of the "blockchain system". Another few hours of internet searching led me to steem.io - then to steemit.com. I signed up, waited a nice, short 2 days for verification and then logged in. Around a week passed before I posted a facebook status which read:
Any else on my friends list in love with the Block-chain technology?
It wasn't long till @juicy-shark messaged me on facebook and joined the community. Since then I have managed to introduce steemit.com to 8 close friends and family members. That number is still counting upwards as the weeks go by.

Short term goals
- Setup a reliable seed node
- Setup a backup witness server to takeover whenever any blocks start being missed
- Hosting various gaming tournaments through steemit
- Delegating SP to MinnowSupport Project and Minnows directly that we see creating original content
- SMS Notifications and alerts when a block is missed
- Creating/Curating guides that will assist the steemians of the world. A well connected and engaging community is the vision of most.
- Start selling games for SBD when the price calms down
Where will money earnt go?
Money earnt will go towards server costs obviously and in future backup witness servers if our current one ever goes down and misses some blocks. Money will also be going straight back to the community and be delegated to several steem projects across the site and for our own gaming tournaments prize pools.
Long term goals
- Australian Based Node is already being planned
- More delegations to the manual curators around on the platform
- As many minnows as possible getting smaller delegations free of charge to help ensure that all users have a vote worth even if it is 1-2c meaning each vote has more meaning behind it instead of just relying on the small % of users with bigger vote rewards that make up the payout of each post
- Supporting other witness's and their projects
Current delegations from Juicy-Shark's own investment
978.266 SP to welcoming
@Welcoming manually curates original posts under the #introduceyourself tag check out the good work Welcoming has been doing here600 SP to minnowsupport
@MinnowSupport is a bot that will be voting on Minnow posts to help give them a kickstart517.081 SP to mrsquiggle
@MrSquiggle manually curates and rewards good original content under the tag #TeamAustralia100.695 SP to teamspenceryan
@TeamSpencerRyan is a minnow I found myself the other day and already decided to delegate some SP his way and give him a boost as I plan with many minnows I come accros
This list is currently tiny compared to how i want it to be and funds from being a witness can help expand this list to many more Minnows and Projects
So why vote for @Cryptwo as a witness?
@KodieAmos and @Juicy-Shark may be new to the platform but they are here to stay and want to ensure our witness server is up 24/7 and never missing a block that may come our way, we have gone over what is needed to run witness servers to ensure we will not need to worry about upgrading and have the funds to keep the server running up for the next two years.
@KodieAmos and @Juicy-Shark plan to be around for quite some time and become ever more active in the community and have decided before become veterans of the platform we will take the risk and show over the next few years we are commited to stay here and be active and be a reliable witness to help Steemit flourish.
What are we doing to help steem?
Currently we spread ourselves along the Steemit community and try to actively use the Steem blockchain to promote the growth of all steemian social discussion, interaction and development.
@Juicy-Shark has already invested quite a bit of money into Steem and plans to invest more money into the steem blockchain as time goes on.
@KodieAmos also plans to be investing some more money as well as quality participation and brutal honesty with no limits to discussion.
We have been testing the waters trying to figuring out where our strengths lay. We know that we will forever be developing our skills and expanding our knowledge. We plan on calling bullshit when we see it.
What are we doing to help Minnows?
Suggesting helpful Guides, sharing community based projects, delegating to unique and original content creators/curators and encouraging the conversations in the community.
What are we doing to help the Minnow Support Project?
As stated above @juicy-Shark has already delegated 600SP recently to @MnnowSupport. The first of many. Ongoing contributions schedule are in the works as we got more of a budget behind us to delegate. We are looking to boost the projects building/innovating the resources and tools available on Steemit. @Kodieamos is taking to the comments and chatting with fellow steemians to improve community relationship; through sometimes harsh, constructive discussion.
Conclusion
Steemit isn't going anywhere and neither are we. Stay tuned, hit follow
