WhiteIsWhite - Water In Nature - Rainy Glenn

Rainy Days and Mondays
I spend a fair amount of time, with camera in hand, and there are bound to be "impossible weather" days. This was one of those.

It was pouring,... and the winds were blowing too. One simply couldn't look into the wind.
After a short hike on slippery rocks, to get to the spot to get a shot of the falls, I discovered, sadly, that the shot was into the winds, and the driving rains.

This was a challenge. I needed a good amount of time to do some long exposure, but, the winds and rains would be getting the front of the lens wet. Not a big issue, except for all the water spots on the lens. I would shoot, wipe off the lens, then shoot again. A shot... wipe. Shot... wipe... rinse and repeat.

I keep a bag of dry towels in the car, because, well, not my first day out.
I packed them into the shoot, ticked inside my rain gear.

This shot, one of only a few I say were passable, was a result of a lot of towels, and lots of drying. I thought it would be good for the White Is White Water in Nature Photography Challenge. Thanks Diane @dmcamera #wiwcontest
