WHERE POETS DREAM AND CRY POETRY CHALLENGE-EL DORADO

I close my eyes in the embers of the night,
Drifted away to a far away land,
Where mother nature lavishes her beauty,
A beautiful scenery that no eye can resist.

The sun radiating its smile in the sky,
Amplifying the colours of the cloud,
All set in motion by a blast of emotions,
And yearnings for a world of perfection.

This city, my El-dorado
Hill tops and river banks covered in precious stones,
Entrance laced with rainbow colours,
What wouldn't I trade to be a part of such world?

Even so, it remains a dream
For this reality I weep,
As I tread the path of subconsciousness,
Waking up to behold vast emptiness.
