Article - Cohesion or structural equivalence in networks?

Organizations operate in accordance with a power structure, showing how influence is between the different persons. Some operate at the top, but can they manage to get the organization in question in forward positions in markets?

A network means which persons you are together with in daily life working with ties with people inside and outside the organization. A network is how you work informally to get the working task, and eventually other things to be done as properly as possible. In networks, we can work as being equal or unequal in our different positions. Networks are how you actually work in organizations, and it is about ties being weak or strong!

Many people want to work in strong ties, if they can choose where to be. The strength of weak ties, is about how you can use your knowledges, talents, intelligence level and brilliant ways of being, to be strong although you are placed as weak. All ties are either strong or weak, but strong ties could be weak, and weak ties could be strong. Hence, the working operations are as your working fellows are. You can structure the world, and find even better ways to work and to do business, or to be in contact with relevant persons. All history in organizations has shown us who is really working together as friends, and which persons that are really enemies, and they can be enemies through the whole life!

Cohesion means that you influence other people in the network by your ways of working. And it is about which person you like or which person you appreciate when doing ever effort and any engagement to get things done. You can work with definitions and without any definitions. Creativity is the way many strong organizations work, and brain storming is the way we put the different brains together and work!

Cohesion is often influence to one or more person at the same level of power as you. But structural equivalence, means that people in different position levels in the organization in really are equal! Many of us are clustering around people we will work together with, and there can still be more and new people. Structural equivalence means we are coming from the same human nature, and that we therefore delete competence or scientific background, we are just working at the same level in the same organization. Networks are structured with influence and with information, and you should work as the leaders tell you. And you can be a leader yourself. In all departments in any country, people join each other, or they do not want to cooperate at all. We are either friends or competitors!

Accordingly, cohesion means to work together at the same level, and structural equivalence means to work together at the unequal levels of structure. Cohesion is the same substance, and structural equivalence is different substance!

In networks, we are either placed as equal or unqual individuals. And this way of thinking can be used in the whole world, in all universities, all organizations, and in White House!
