We have darkness, when the sun has set! And sun rise implies that we get lights at earth. These things are natural at the earth!
Sun rise and sun set is always happening around the world. And there are different time zones, and these have something to do with lights and darkness different places in the world, and the time is therefore different in these time zones.
The earth is using one day, or approximately 24 hours, to rotate around its own axis. And this is the definition of day, with the light, the darkness and the polar nights! But a day is getting shorter and shorter from day to day, but the change in the duration of time for a day from day to day is very little!
It is the earth´s inclination in relation to the sun that implies that the day light is getter shorter and shorter in the summer and in the autumn from 21 June to 22 December, and sometimes longer and longer from 22 Desember to 21 June. The inclination to the earth in relation to its way in its orbit around the sun, implies that we get what we get of light and darkness. These things that we perceive with the earth and the sun, have something to do with the mass attraction to the other planets in our solar system. We have darkness in a day with duration of approximately 24 hour, and we get longer and longer days when its getting lighter, and shorter and shorter days when it gets darker. The light and the darkness determine the seasons we have, the polar nights, and the light and the darkness during a day!
When you get different inclination for the earth in relation to the sun, you get more or less light during a day than if there had been no inclination. Today, we can explain many things in the universe, and maybe everything in the future. There are still discoveries from time to time. The inclination of the earth in relation to the sun varies between 22,1 degrees and 24,5 degrees. This implies much for the light and the darkness at the earth, and the duration of the day, and the light and the night is otherwise happening due to the time the earth rotates around itself!
