This praise of The Creator and Dovid HaMelech (King David), is for the merit of newborn David, son of @mama-pepper and @papa-pepper, and new brother to the @little-peppers!
The Good King dreams on behalf of his people.ย
He studies, and teaches The Law.ย
Serving his Kingdom, his treasure outlasts even the longest droughts,ย
So that the entire world seeks after its ways.ย
Never dull, never wishing to see light, his sword rests in its scabbard.ย
Though should his tongue and stylus, his superior weapons fail,ย
Or like a stone, slung as the most precise argument, he will withdraw it, and defend his nation. ย
Yet there is mostly rest, as all his senses attend the people,ย
Unifying them in the desire to love one another.ย
And in all their names, allowing his poetic and musical heart to praise and meditate on the One Creator all night long,
As he sleeps only sixty breaths of a horse.ย
Adam sees that the Good King could, and will anchor The Kingdom,ย
So gives up part of his life for him.ย
By his true kingship, he placates or even negates the claims of the other side,ย
The Good King is The Seed, and holds The Court forever.ย
