Are you a dreamer? @steembasicincome and SBD to be won!

Are you a dreamer?

While sorting and cleaning up things for our adoptee's son's arrival I found a notebook from January 2014 that I had begun to write down my dreams in, not as in what I dreamt last night but as in what I wanted from my life. The idea behind it was if I didn't know what I wanted, how was I to know how to get it and how would I stay motivated to do the things required to get the things I wanted, again, if they were not clear in my head.

What prompted this dreams writing back in the day?

This question was posed to us by a friend while discussing future possibilities and a business model:

What are five things you would like to do, have or become if you had more time and money?

Now, this is a really simple question, and if you were to ask a child this in a simpler form, you would have a hard time stopping their imagination from running wild with the things they want to do, be or have.

However, ask an adult and for some reason, we have become so content or complacent with the way things are that it's hard to think outside the box we have created for ourselves back to those grand ventures we had planned doing when we were young.

I have always been a bit of a dreamer with grand expectations for my life and to date it's been a pretty wild ride with many ups and some life-changing downs. It wasn't until I played the #tenfactsonelie game started by @traciyork that I realised just how out there my life had been, so much so that all the facts looked like they could be lies due to the extreme nature of many. If you are interested in my truths click HERE.

My dreams and life plan always saw me travelling the world until I was thirty and then settling down, getting married and starting a family. Unfortunately as life does sometimes, the wool was pulled from under my feet and I spent my prime travelling years, in and out of hospital, struggling for life and shattering my dreams in the process.

I recovered from my twelfth and final surgery a few months after my 30th birthday, lucky I had met my future hubby @shai-hulud mid nightmare and I did get married a few years later, starting a family has taken us down a different route to initially planned and taken a lot longer but exciting news, we will be meeting our son in the coming months as we were recently matched with a little man from Thailand.

Back to the point of this post...

For me, being a dreamer with a clear vision in mind of how my life was going to turn out, lost that vision when my dreams were shattered. So thinking of five things outside my original plan was hard, it was only when I realised that I just needed to bend my dreams a little to fit my new reality that I could get past my initial self-block and move onto the real challenge of writing down a hundred.

As you can see even with no road blocks and a healthy imagination I didn't get to a hundred. But I did have to laugh at my appendix’s that goes into more detail regarding travel and my dream home.

I must of ran out of ideas at 75 because I'm claustrophobic and can't think of anything worse than being confined to any small space for an extended period of time. Actually as I was writing these out for you, it was nice to see how many I had achieved and just how many made me laugh out loud.

Dream's clearly need to adapt and change as you do, just as the things you wanted to be, do and have changed from when you were a child. But for some fun can you guess which ones I have achieved? Out of the 76 above I have achieved 15.

YOU CAN WIN

I will guarantee one steem basic income share to one follower that picks at least 5 of the 15 achieved dreams. However, if on the day of payout I am feeling generous, I may pay out up to three.

If someone can pick all 15 I will give them 50% of the SBD generated from this post.

The winners will be announced in a weeks’ time with a summary of what the hell I was thinking when I wrote them and where my thoughts are now.

I look forward to seeing your guesses and as an added incentive, you may want to know I upvote good comments and aim to answer all genuine comments in a timely fashion.
