I Sometimes Ask Myself:
In the midst of so much "pressure" that we find ourselves here at Steemit in order to have this quest for each time to post on original and high quality content in the platform, spread our posts in other social networks and chats as well like some "controversial discussions" that we find in the community, if in the midst of all this we can build a sincere and true friendship with some or a few Steemians here at Steemit?😕
Today 10 months after joined Steemit I was able to meet people from different countries, cultures, customs that made me even in a conversation in chat groups that we have in the community, it was noted that this community is full of people with a lot of personality , friendly (most) and in many cases generous✌️.
But I've also had rather unpleasant experiences dealing with some people or a group of people here at Steemit. Like every Brazilian or a Latin American, I am a person who is very nice most of the time, spontaneous, who likes to talk and welcoming too much. What I noticed in the conversation with some mostly American or European Steemians is that they either dislike or repudiate this way that we have to deal with people and this has drawn me a significant distance from some people I've tried to build a friendship or exchange of ideas here at Steemit 👎 .
So today I avoid talking in open chat rooms in the community or even commenting on some posts, because as I am also quite direct, frontal and sincere in my opinions, many can understand my way of expressing as arrogance or superiority.
I come to the conclusion tha this "lack of communication", cultural shock and customs is common in every group or community and here at Steemit is no different. What should remain at the end of all is respect, sympathy, tolerance and admiration for the work done by all of us here in this crazy and wonderful community. 😉
