Being a non Steemit Inc developer focused on STEEM related projects can be troublesome at times. Simple things most developers take for granted such as a wage, guaranteed paycheck and having infrastructure operating costs covered simply aren't something I'm privy.
While I'm grateful for every upvote on my post I get, it's simply not adding up to what my expenses are a month to run all the projects, put a roof over my head and feed myself.
I've been basically full time on STEEM the past half year. I regret absolutely no part of it!
Some Backstory on the Situation
For a while I've been wanting to move out of the village I currently reside and into the city.
As of January 1st, 2017 I've got to be out of the place I currently live. While it's unfortunate circumstance and as much as I absolutely hate moving in the winter my current living situation isn't working out and a move to the city that's been planned for the past few months now needs to be rushed. In the end my roommate and I had a disagreement about sharing bills and who's responsibility it is to cover costs due to negligence on the landlord's part.
While I've no problem paying my fair share of the bills when communist ideals were pressed against me and I found myself paying for everyone else's resource usage on top of my own all while supplying everyone with free internet access I eventually had enough and simply couldn't justify it anymore.
A Request for Aid From the STEEM Network
Simply put: I don't have enough money to move into the city, let alone pay my server costs.
While I've got the next little while covered for server costs I'm slowly bleeding out money.
I've been homeless before in the winter.. That doesn't really scare me all that much. But it's certainly harder to get things done when you're constantly looking for a place to couch surf.
Working tireless hours developing all sorts of projects for the STEEM network has been very rewarding in the sense that I know I'm working towards a greater good for all of us.
While I know I'm not the fastest nor most skilled developer that the network has to offer I've one thing that many folks lack. That thing being dedication. I'm dedicated to the STEEM network, the various projects I'm developing for it as well as the people using the network and the community behind it.
I'd Rather Work Than Receive a Handout
While I am pretty darn busy with my own project development at the moment sadly these projects aren't really bringing in any income. So if you've got any project that you'd like a hand with and wouldn't mind tossing me some STEEM or SBD I'd really appreciate the chance to work.
