I am back.
I am a teacher by day and I returned to work this week and therefore got behind on my posts.
Thank you for your support. I am working on a new book, while also writing this story. This is probably going to be a chapter book for elementary students, think Goosebumps.
I am writing this story without an outline and putting up the story as I finish each part. I am enjoying getting to know these characters and setting. I am also doing this to prove to myself that a story can be written quickly and without an outline.

Part 15 Adam asks about the picture.
Irving lathered suntan lotion on his arms.
Next to him his mother rubbed it on his little brother, Lucas. Who couldn’t stand still, as he was ready to run to the edge of the water. His sister Carrie rubbed her lotion on her face, and then put on her sunglasses and hat and laid down on her towel.
Irving finished putting his lotion on, he picked up his boogie board and ran to the water. He caught several waves, riding them to the edge of the beach, where Lucas would scream, “Look at Irving! Hi Irving!”
Irving went back out, and caught a wave. He laid flat on his board, but his right hand caught the edge of the wave. The wave pulled him under and flipped him. He tumbled several times before he was finally washed safely ashore.
“You okay? You seem to keep doing that?” said a voice above Irving. Irving wiped his hair away from his eyes. Alec stood in front of him, next to him was his older brother Adam.
“Hey Adam,” Irving stood up. He brushed himself off, “Yeah, I’m fine.”
“The waves look big today,” said Adam.
“Yeah, they’re pretty big,” replied Irving.
“So when are we going back to the lighthouse?” Alec asked.
“I don’t know. I’ll ask my grandfather if we can go tonight,” said Irving.
Alec turned to his brother, “Do you want to go with us?”
“And do what? Sit around that lighthouse with nothing to do?” Adam replied.
“No, we saw a foot in a photograph, and we saw the table get turned over,” Alec raised his voice to his brother.
“You saw a foot?...What do you mean you saw a foot?” Adam replied.
“I mean we can see a foot in a photograph we took,” Alec said.
“Can I see that picture?” Adam asked.
Alec continued to raise his voice, “Well, I don’t have it on me now!”
Adam raised his hand to quiet Alec down, “Okay, okay. Calm down.” He looked out at the water, “I’m getting in the water.” Adam took off for the water and jumped on his board to begin riding waves.
“I wonder what got him so interested when we mentioned the foot?” Irving asked. “I don’t know.”
“Let’s go ask my grandfather if we can go again tonight,” Irving patted Alec on the shoulder and started walking to where is family was lounging on their towels.
Irving’s grandfather waved as they approached, “Hey Alec. How are you?”
“Fine Mr. Williams,” Alec waved back.
“Can we go back to the lighthouse this evening grandpa?” Irving asked.
“Of course we can!” He looked around at the other adults, “If that’s okay with your parents?”
“That’s fine with me,” replied Irving’s mom. “I think it’s great that you are spending time with your grandfather.”
“Okay, I’ll go tell my dad,” Alec ran off to his family.
Irving’s grandfather leaned in to him, “Maybe tonight we’ll find what is connected to that foot we saw.”
