The choice. A moment we make a choice in life influences the course of it forever. Something that happened one way and not another. Because we chose that way. If we had not made this, but another choice, what would our life be like? We wouldn't know the same people, but others, and that could even determine a different personal life for us.
What would life be like if, in that instant, the choice was another? Have you ever wondered about that? At least for the choices that we voluntarily and consciously make, between A and B, measuring impacts and consequences (always thinking we dominate them!)? Thinking that, in general, they will be the best for us?
It is as if, walking on a road, we stand at a crossroad and have to make the choice between one way and the other to go forward, not knowing entirely which one, if any, will lead to our chosen destination and what obstacles we will have to face to get there. With no maps or GPS, because life doesn't give us this kind of tools. We all have all been through this, and the beauty lies in knowing that, no matter the choice we make, and why we make it, we must appreciate the way and overcome the obstacles, if necessary with an iron force, to reach the destination.
So the path is not in vain. And because, when arriving, other crossroads can come across and we can start the whole process once more. May you make good choices!
