What a field of contenders we have for the first round of Write Club! Opening ceremonies have commenced, and the starting gate is loading as you read this!
So here they are folks, in alphabetical order:
First, we have @caleblailmusik, a wily young colt with an old soul, ready and rearing to go. He dragged his handlers into the box by their hair and kicked the gate shut on their heads while singing the song of their people. Let the games begin!
Next is @GMuxx, our dark horse of the event, Steemit Witness, and Writers’ Block admin. He can run the distance, but needs the whip applied from time to time. (We think maybe he enjoys that whip a little too much….)
In the next box is @jayna, so ladylike and gracious. But once you get her fired up, she’ll take you all the way to the wire. Get ready to have your hair blown back, because you’re in for a wild ride.
And now we have @johnkingwriter, the original Rat Bastard, going into box four. He’s a Scottish devil, hard-drinking, hard-hitting slugger with fire in his eyes. Watch your back, folks! He’s bringing his A-game.
Midway down the line is @jordan.lesich, founder of Write Club and The Silent Threat. He’ll pace himself on the rail until your attention falters, then he’ll bring the thunder and blow the dust off your hood as he blazes past.
@steemitgraven29 sure plays a mean pinball! He’ll bounce off everything in his path, but you can believe this champion won’t be out of play any time soon.
@tanglebranch is farm-girl tough. She can shear a sheep and extract cats from grain bins with the best of them. Watch out for her in a challenge, though! Get in her way, and she’ll have you flipped on your back and shaved to the skin before you can bleat.
@xanderslee may be last to load, but he won’t be last out of the gate. By the time he disarms you with his dashing sense of humor, you won’t even care that he takes the lead. You’ll root for him the whole way!
The Write Club is an intensive, sixteen-week program for selected authors. It’s designed to underscore discipline, structure, and professional work ethic among writers who’ve already shown their commitment to quality and productivity. The starting bell clangs Monday morning, 1/8/18.
