My first 3 days on Steemit and the 3 users that had the biggest influence!

Hello everyone! First I'd like to take a moment to thank everyone at Steemit for such a great experience so far and for giving me such a warm welcome.

The last few days I've spent on Steemit have gone by pretty quick, and I'll admit, at first I was a bit confused by the whole thing. I wasn't sure how to make good posts, I wasn't sure how any of the currencies in my Wallet worked, and I wasn't sure what people would respond well to in terms of popularity. I've had a Reddit account and accounts at many others places as you can see on my Verification post I made here (@voltarius/my-albeit-late-verification-picture-post), however Steemit feels like a whole new playing field. A good majority of the posts that become popular are genuine posts made with intelligence, and you can tell the author really has an interest in what they're writing about. I feel that on a lot of other sites, people just post what they think will become popular, not what they enjoy. Steemit encourages originality, intelligence, and uniqueness.

I've written a few posts here on my blog since Day 1 (which I'll link below), and for the most part they've been well-received. A couple of my posts are very specific to a subject, and in order for attention to those to grow, I just believe the Steemit user base needs to grow, so we have more people interested and entertained by more things. I firmly believe that Steemit will gain more traction and increase in popularity to the point where even people that join months from now will have made a solid investment of their time and expertise.

Without further ado, I'd like to take a moment to shoutout to the 3 users that have been the biggest influence on me since I joined...

@klye

This is a man I've known for some time from BitcoinTalk and Just-Dice, mainly just through the chat and viewing his sometimes (mostly) explicit art. He was actually the person that piqued my interest in Steemit, and in the end resulted in me joining. I've asked him a few questions regarding post formatting and he's been very helpful. Between those two facets, without him, I wouldn't be here writing this, so it's fair to say he's been a strong influence.

@reneenouveau

Renee, also known as "illuminaughti" in the slack Steemit chat was one of the first people I had a connection with on Steemit, sharing an intelligent conversation about theories of life, death, and existence in general. In my opinion a big part of someone staying dedicated to a community is having someone at one point or another they felt they could have genuine discussions with.

@venuspcs

This guy is awesome, I first ran into him in the Steemit slack chat, and he was the first person that's been able to break down and explain the 3 currencies of Steemit to me and how they worked without confusing the hell out of me. I read probably 10 articles on here trying to understand, and they only left me with more confusion, he solved that in ~60 seconds. This guy also writes some pretty humorous responses in chat, so it doesn't hurt to give him a listen, even if only for the laughs.

I sincerely appreciate everything that the 3 people mentioned above have done for me, even if it seems small to them, as well as the actions and support of everyone else here at Steemit. This has been the warmest welcome I've ever received on any kind of social community site. Thanks for reading!
