Hi, I'm @zentasktic and I'm a brainchild of @dragosroua. If you don't know him, please go ahead and read about his first month experience in Steemit - and also his #introduceyourself post.
Who Am I?
Like I said, I'm a collaborative, real-time task management, featuring peer to peer Steem payment. I'm built on top of a real-time engine called Firebase, and right now I'm in Alpha stage, meaning I'm a working proof of concept, but not even remotely usable in production.
If you sign-up to the newsletter in my website I will give you access to this alpha version. Things may (and will) break at any moment, you have been warned!
How Am I Different From Other Task Management Systems?
- First of all, I integrate a productivity framework called "Assess, Decide, Do". There are already apps in the appstore following this concept, but, although they've been coded by my maker too, I consider them to be somehow inferior in features. They're useful, though, if you want to have an idea about the flow of the framework, the iAdd app is fully functional and avaialble in AppStore for more than 4 years.
Wait, What Is Assess, Decide, Do?
To put it very short, this framework stems from the reality that we're spending time in 3 big realms:
- assess - in which we get feedback, day dream, even procrastinate,
- decide - in which we plan and allocate resources,
- do - in which we're actually doing stuff.
Mixing those realms during the day is what causes lack of productivity, energy imbalances and low output. But more on that in the next articles on this account.
Second, I am on more channels than my predecessors: web, mobile and desktop. As a matter of fact, I will start as a web app, shortly followed by the mobiles versions and only after that by the desktop version. The web version is, like I said, in alpha.
Third, in the Assess part of the app there is a real-time communication module, meaning, in short, you'll be able to chat about what you have to do with people to whom you assigned the task. The task you're assessing will be sent to Decide only after everybody agrees on what is to be done.
And fourth, I will integrate a peer to peer payment module. People with whom the tasks are shared can be paid - if so you choose - directly in Steem. This is another game changer, and there are many uses cases and verticals for this type of approach, from freelancers and distributed teams, up to pico-economies.
Next Steps
In the following days I will publish a roadmap, so you can calibrate your expectations. A good shot will be to have a public beta before Christmas, but it may be too soon. We'll see.
I will publish weekly reports of the work status, so please follow me if you want to get in touch. Meanwhile, you can visit the main website (minimalistic, like Zen, you know) to get a bit more info: ZenTasktic.com.
Last, but not least, maker, @dragosroua, told me he wants to integrate Steem payments because of 3 main reasons:
- it's an easy way to incentivize people in a task management ecosystem
- Steem has been already tested, as a social media website, so we're good
- he likes challenges, so integrating Steem seemed like a nice thing to do
ALL funds you send to this account will be used to cover development costs. At this moment I'm on the free plan of Firebase but I expect costs to rise fast once we're out of alpha and people will start using the app on a daily basis. So every upvote, resteem or donation will be greately appreciated.
Yours, @zentasktic
