Photo Caption: What you're looking at is an awesome kids play area and obstacle course
This is a shot taken actually from the street with my lens stuck through the chain link fence to show one of the cooler but harder to see features of Parque Papagayo here in Acapulco, a place that I consider one of my absolute favorite places to visit in the city. It's got a bit of everything: waterpark, huge park with animals and plants, zoo, iguana sanctuary, temezcal and more. It's been around for more than 50 years and is a bit of Acapulco history.
Photo caption: A close up of the cool obstacle course, something that'd likely be seriously illegal in the United States.
Parque Papagayo is located on the Costera right next to the signature Mexican flag that I can see from my house.
This is the Costera entrance to the free part of the park, which is littered with paid services of all kinds from rented trikes to paddleboats.
A rules board that can be seen on the way in....
When I left the park there were a bunch of ducks around this little pond that I took photos of too, so stay tuned for those in the coming posts!
This map is pretty badly sun-damaged as you can tell but still somewhat easy to read with the help of a photo editor.
This is just the first post of several from my recent short but good visit!
