The northern lapwing (Vanellus vanellus)
Vanellus vanellus is one of 24 species in the lapwing-family, it's about 28-31 cm long and weighs typically around 128-330 g. The wing spanner is approximately 82-87 cm and the wings are wide.
This picture was taken before the grass started to grow, The grass is so tall now that the birds hide in it.
