An #archisteem Project – 1001 Places to Remember + Weekly Contest
Introduction of The Project
The 1001 Places to Remember will be the first project launched by @archisteem with the support from the co-founders @kimzwarch, @cklai and @funtraveller. The vision to kickstart this project is to create a record of series of memories from people of different countries, age group, and culture. There are 3 components that will form the memories, which are person, place and event.
What Is So Special About the Project?
We would like to collect a total of 1001 memory from the Steemit community regardless of their nationality, age group and ethnicity. All the memories will be then compiled into categories of place (country, district, name of the specific places) and genre (entertainment, food, adventure and so on). Then, we want to make all these memories into publication (electronic and physical) copies as a product of Archisteem (of course, we will acknowledge all the works done by all the amazing contributors).
Each contributor will get the electronic and physical copy of the publication as the perk of giving us this honor to curate your story.
When Can We Expect the Publication?
We aim to collect 1001 memories within 3 months (by 15th July 2018). Once collected, we will start the editing and compile with the help of our editors and designers. In one-month time, we will complete the compilation and ready the e-publication latest by (15th August 2018) to all the contributors. As for the physical publication, we will be announcing the details soon as we are engaging with some publishers.
How to Join the Project?
We observed that there are a lot of talented photographers out there, may them be professionals or amateurs, they are creating great masterpieces. We would like to launch a new tag named #placestoremember specifically for this project.
We experienced a different kind of places throughout our lives, the place may be:
• Our home
• Our school
• The place where we learned something
• The place where we met someone
• The place that gave us some valuable lesson
• The place that we never forget due to some event
We always link up places with memories formed when we were physically there. This will be an interesting project whereby participants can share their story with single or multiple photos of a place. With not less than 300 words, write up your story and share with the community.
Any Reward for Participation?
Yes, definitely! As collecting 1001 memories is not an easy feat, we would like to provide rewards to keep the momentum going. We understand all the memories shared are uniquely amazing and invaluable. Therefore, we would like to reward for those stories that we like the most. Of course, for the other submission, we will support by upvoting the posts with the most weight we can provide (depends on the amount of received posts).

1st prize: 5 SBD (+ the received SBD from this post’s reward)
2nd prize: 3 SBD
3rd prize: 1 SBD
4 consolation: 0.25 SBD
Every Sunday, we will go through all the submission and announce the winner with the prizes distributed accordingly to the winners. This will be a continuous competition to happen weekly, so do not hesitate to submit your story anytime you like! Just remember to use #archisteem and #placetoremember, and not to forget to follow the 3 Golden Rules of #archisteem.
We are doing our best to give our biggest support to all the contributors while we are working on to gain more support for the contributors as well. As this is the first announcement for this project, the team members (@kimzwarch, @cklai & @funtraveller) will be sponsoring the reward without any third-party sponsorship.

Reminder on The Rules
- Use one or not more than 3 images to write a story.
- Images and text should be genuinely produced by the author.
