Parts Vermillion (ORIGINAL ARTWORK) with animated GIF

Vermillion is the color of blood. The word used to be interchangeable with cinnabar, however that is now only used to describe the mercury rich element Cinnabar. Both of these words were introduced to me at a young age, however I didn't know what either of them meant until a few years ago.

There was a city on an old Pokémon game called Cinnabar Island. It was a technological mecca, it had hot springs and volcanoes, and was home to many fire type.

I first heard the word vermillion from an old Slipknot song titled Vermillion. I am honestly not even sure how I used to listen to that kind of music. Oh wait it was the crazy guitar solos and double bass drums.
