I have always been a fan of oatmeal, it was a usual breakfast growing up thanks to my wonderful mother. Even my astrological readings (Libra) say oatmeal should be a staple in my diet. To this day it is something simple that can be made quickly. Somehow things just got even more easy concerning oats. Now I am able to eat them without any cooking at all. Simple put all of the ingredients in a mason jar, set them in the refrigerator overnight, and the next morning they are ready to be eaten. I eat mine cold, but you can warm them if you desire.

I generally eat a whole foods, plant-based diet; by choice. I am very particular about what I put in my body, and I regularly fast & cleanse to rid myself of toxins. This recipe for overnight oats fits my criteria quite well. All ingredients can be plant based if you so choose. Best of all it tastes delicious and takes about 5-10 minutes to prepare.
A few suggestions if the recipe does not suite your dietary needs :
- Use a plant based yogurt
- Double the recipe if needed.
