Please enjoy this expansive gallery of photos I took while at Crystal Bridges. All photographs were taken on my iPhone 6+, without flash and as photographs are encouraged throughout the museum. Photos of art pieces in the official below gallery have not been edited beyond cropping and centering adjustment, and the informational tags were photographs taken directly from the museum wall next to the pieces.
Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art
This was our first visit to Crystal Bridges, and I am really sorry we haven't visited sooner...especially since it's free, it's fairly close, and easy to get there early and give oneself enough time to cover the museum in its entirety without having to rush.
We spent 3 or so hours checking out the outstanding exhibits, which not only reflect American art as it has progressed through history, but also history itself. This is a unifying factor between art and literature and history which I love. I see them all as mirrors to and from each other, creating a brilliant symbiotic spectrum of relationships between the triangle of art, literature, and history.
We were anticipating seeing the new Dale Chihuly exhibit, but it was only opening for official Members of the museum, so we only got a glimpse of some of the pieces which will be displayed during the month of June both in the gallery and in the forest, so we are very excited to return and see his exhibit, as well.*
I'm going to let these pieces speak for themselves, as that's how I prefer to experience art...so rather than waxing on each, I want to just share them with you. These were some of my absolute favorites from the museum's collection at present. Beautiful. In my opinion, probably one of, if not the best thing that's ever been done with Walmart Money.
...I was obviously really stoked on the Lichtenstein room. More on that later. Museum notes on this piece located below, as well.

I would love to talk art with anyone interested in the comments. These pieces all spoke to me in incredibly profound ways, and if they spoke to you, I'd love to engage in some conversation about them. I hope you enjoyed the gallery.
