Here we are with the results of the 1st Steemarket Art Contest!
First of all, a big thanx to the amazing artists that joined this little contest! I see new names, compared to the artists who joined the ArtTrail Contest I managed in the past months. And that's great. This community of artists is growing!
I know artists are not the kind of people who likes community and collective stuff. I met many artists in 30 years of activity as an artist myself. Of course, this is not always true, expecially on the web communities. Artists have to collaborate each other, today more than in the past. ;)

Many amazing artworks indeed, aren't they?
As always happens, the Sculpture category has less submitted artworks than painting ;) I knew it.
The "Italy" theme also didn't worked so well. Perhaps one week is not enough to create something on a particular subject. :)

We got just 1 submission for this category, but I decided to give the prize anyway for the originality of the creation:
ย Title: Beautiful Spaghetti Bolognese - Size: length 15 cm (6 inch), width 15 cm (6 inch), depth 5 cm (2 inch) - Date: made today - 29 July 2017 - Technique: I made a spaghetti base from embroidery silk glued to a plate. I then glued brown beads to represent the minced meat. I added small orange beads to represent the bolognese sauce. I added a topping of gold stars and long beads to represent parmesan cheese. Lastly, I finished the dish with a sprig of green to represent fresh basil leaves.ย
