Art Attack! #105: It's Raining Moneys! 💸

Hey Steemit!

We're back again with another Art Attack! If you're new to the series, this is where I share my drawings and the process behind them. A behind-the-scenes look at my artwork, if you will. This is not to say that I'm very good at art, or that I'm a professional in any way. In fact this is the opposite, and serves as a reminder to how I first started, and lets me track my progress too!

For the past few weeks I've been sharing about my streaming journey on Twitch and I was lucky enough to get affiliated in just under a month thanks to our super awesome and supportive community! So my subscribers get to enjoy an ad-free experience and emotes that I have been designing myself!

These were my first batch of emotes that I've shared:

So for the bit tier emotes I only unlocked 3 at the time; up to 10K bits! A bit is a cheer you can send to streamers that you buy with real money from Twitch and it costs a cent. And I was fortunate enough to have people support my streams enough to get the 10K bit tier emote! It's so insane how generous my viewers are and I'm always super thankful for them.

For the 1K bit tier emote, I wanted something cool since more people would have access to this one so I thought a "swag" one would be nice, just raining money or something so this was what I came up with:

The dollar bills have my tacocat avatar on them! And I had to draw some cool shades for him too. Here's the timelapse:

The next bit tier emote was going to be a special one I did for one of my viewers who always came by with a ton of bits! I think he was the first one to give me like 5000 bits all at once it was insane! His username on twitch was JohnnyAsussion8222 and I told him because he gave me so many bits that I would do the 5K bit tier emote as a tribute to him!

And since he's a fan of The Shining, I had to make a reference to the classic meme of that scene where he goes HERE'S JOHNNY! Since that's what johnny used to do too. Here's an example of the meme:

It seemed pretty simple enough, but it did look kinda weird on execution. This was what I came up with:

I wasn't sure about the face or the wall tbh. Maybe I should've drawn the wall more broken but I'm not sure if it would've made a difference tbh. I tried my best with the face but wasn't sure how else I could change it to make it better. And I guess the important thing is that johnny liked it since he was the only one who could use it at the time.

Here's the timelapse:

I've done a lot of art for my Twitch; both for my channel in general and for my viewers and am currently working on a whole new batch of emotes! So stay tuned for more!

Thanks so much for reading!
