We're back again with another Art Attack! If you're new to the series, this is where I share my drawings and the process behind them. A behind-the-scenes look at my artwork, if you will. This is not to say that I'm very good at art, or that I'm a professional in any way. In fact this is the opposite, and serves as a reminder to how I first started, and lets me track my progress too!
So last week, I shared a piece I did for Linktober 2020! If you're unfamiliar with this challenge Linktober is a spinoff of the monthly art challenge, Inktober, where there's a daily prompt and you're supposed to do an ink drawing everyday based on the prompt!

I started this challenge a little late, from day 20, but I tried my best to keep up my streak. For day 22 - favourite character was kinda difficult since there are so many characters to choose from! Although to be fair, I'm most familiar with those in Breath of the Wild since it's pretty much the only Zelda game I've played. I have seen playthroughs of other Zelda games though, like Wind Waker and Triforce Heroes!
Ultimately, I decided on Hestu from Breath of the Wild! If you didn't know, Hestu is a large Korok, the most celebrated musician of Korok Forest (so says he), who is fond of saying "Shalaka lala!"

Hestu expands your inventory slots in exchange for korok seeds! You can upgrade your weapon, shield, or bow inventory slots, paying 1 Korok Seed for the first upgrade, 2 for the next, 3 for the third, 5 for the fourth, 8 for the fifth, and so forth.
He's one of the cutest characters in BotW and I love going to see him every time I collect enough korok seeds because I get to watch him do his little dance and shake his maracas! He's definitely one of my favourite characters in the game for sure so I had to draw him for this prompt!

The sketchbook I was using is unfortunately not paint-friendly, so I had to resort to using markers for the colours, but it also means you can see the marker streaks. Here's Hestu coloured!
I tried my best to make the colours as accurate as possible, but my marker colours are kinda limited. I think it's still alright though, he's still recognisable.
Initially for this prompt, I was thinking of drawing Urbosa since she's such a sexy badass, but tbh Urbosa would take a little too long to draw as well, since she has a lot of details especially on her outfit and I didn't have too much time to spend on these daily pieces. Then I also remembered Hestu and I couldn't pass on everyone's favourite happy tree boi!
Sorry these pieces don't look as good as my other stuff (maybe), but I think I'm improving with each piece.? It's all about practise anyways!
