Hey Steemit!
We're back again with another Art Attack! If you're new to the series, this is where I share my drawings and the process behind them. A behind-the-scenes look at my artwork, if you will. This is not to say that I'm very good at art, or that I'm a professional in any way. In fact this is the opposite, and serves as a reminder to how I first started, and lets me track my progress too!
We're still continuing on with my Linktober series, this time with Day 24 - Musical Instrument! If you're unfamiliar with this challenge Linktober is a spinoff of the monthly art challenge, Inktober, where there's a daily prompt and you're supposed to do an ink drawing everyday based on the prompt!

I was actually late to the party on this challenge, unfortunately, but I started from day 20 and tried my best to keep up my streak. And I was actually really excited for day 24 since there are actually quite a few musical instruments to choose from in Zelda! But my first thought was definitely Wind Waker since Makar and Medli both play instruments in that game! And Link even has a conductor's baton in the form of the Wind Waker itself! So I decided to draw them playing as a band with Link as conductor!
I didn't want to just have Link from the back so I drew him at an angle so he wouldn't be blocking the other performers as well.
It took a little bit but eventually I got this sketch! I added Kass from Breath of the Wild as well since it would look a little empty without him. And he was also one of the first characters I thought of for this prompt actually. I can imagine the 3 of them jamming out together and playing some awesome songs!
Well, time to get outlining!
I think I did a pretty good job on getting the characters look right this time! And I didn't trace anything too, since I needed the size to be just right. But I did have to look up in-game references of course.
And after cleaning up the sketch lines, here's the lined version!
Since the last couple of pieces, I decided to colour the parts of the piece that were the prompt, and in this case obviously it would be the instruments themselves. It was a relief since they were pretty small compared to the characters themselves, so I could just use markers.
And that's another Linktober piece done! I actually think this one looks pretty good. Simple, but with subtle details especially on Medli, Makar and Kass! I think they looked pretty close to how they appear in-game as well, aside from the colour.
I guess that's all for now! Thanks so much for reading!
