I've decided to deal differently with my "practical advice for conscious living" posts, at least for a while. These tend to be long (longer than most people care to read in this age of sound-bites and TLDR.) But the fact is, I love to write. I love my subject, and since monetary rewards on my posts are -- shall we say, less than impressive, at least one reason I do this is for my own education, to help me think clearly and to reveal to myself what I know about my topic. Writing is a great way to do that.
So, since I imagine most people just wish I would cut to the chase and give them the gist of the message ... the payoff ... up front, I'll write the end first. I'll make these a lot shorter. And what I want to mess with for myself can go into other posts under different headings, and eventually, it will all get said -- or not. I'll have posts I can link back to, if needed. I'll get what I want from the writing. With a little attention, so will you.
There's a Grand Water Trine in the sky at the moment -- a three way alignment between Venus in Cancer, Jupiter in Scorpio and Neptune in Pisces. (And an opposition to Venus from Pluto in Capricorn ... coming up fast.) This is a complicated, fairly unusual pattern -- so it's pretty important and will take some explaining. But I'll deal first with "what it all means," then fill in the details at leisure -- and you can decide how much you want to follow along. Deal?
This is what it looks like to an Astrologer.
The opposition between Venus and Pluto is pretty obvious.
The other three points that form the rough outline of an
equilateral triangle are the elements of the Grand Water Trine.
Venus symbolizes relationships, material support, "things of value." Jupiter symbolizes growth, expansion, generosity, higher learning and abundance. Neptune symbolizes idealism, fantasies, artistic endeavors and spiritual concerns.
In the current Grand Trine arrangement, all three of these major life concerns are working together, supporting each other's interests and delivering ease and progress to physical life. It sounds like a glorious gift and it is. So let's talk about what to expect, what to look for and eventually, how to help things along.

A Grand Water Trine between these three extremely benevolent planets suggests a lot more optimism, support and prosperity than I frankly feel now.
True there are some crummy Capricorn oppositions (one from Saturn which just finished and another from Pluto which is just starting) that color and interfere with the overall message -- and this may throw considerable shade on what should be a climate of joy and good feelings.
But this aspect is definitely out there ... so we'll see what develops. It's also an unusual pattern ... enough to be the kind of natural blessing you really look forward to. So, let's assume it will offer more than just enough hope to keep us from hanging ourselves. Here, in a nutshell, is what to expect.

A very optimistic, positive attitude prevails, especially about "all the things that matter" -- enough to assure you "everything will work out for the best."
Life encourages an honest, sincere disposition that attracts supportive, helpful people. It sets up cooperative relationships and profitable situations where everyone wins
Money is easier to come by -- or expenses ease off a bit. You have more discretionary income to work with -- enough to splurge a little, enough that you don't just worry about it constantly.

You take a tolerant, accepting view of life and its challenges.
Your faith in the future is strong. You act from your spiritual principles and "walk your talk," showing by example who you are and what you stand for.
Your creative talents produce interesting, even inspired results. There is a lot of emotion and investment of you in your artistic projects. The themes in your work show off your general philosophy of life.

Life widens your spiritual and artistic horizons.
Experiences teach you more about the power of intuition, faith and invisible realms of reality.
You find new sources of inspiration and learning, so many you may have to pick and choose, because you simply can't handle them all.

Count on a couple of weeks. Longer, of course, if you really connect and work with what it can teach you. Also, it can take some development before you recognize life events that are connected to this pattern.
"In the near future" could be a more relevant measure of time. But the next few weeks will definitely bring on some changes. Good ones -- if you can deal with what sets them off.

As nice as all this sounds, there is another formidable piece of the puzzle – coming up fast. Venus forms an opposition to Pluto this week ... turning this Grand Trine into something Astrologers call a Kite pattern. (Connect the ends of the spokes and you can see the outline of a kite.)
This intensifies the action of the elements in the Grand Trine -- and suggests all this learning and progress will be set off by a disruption in a relationship, a power struggle over "values" or a need to rearrange your financial structures in response to changes or critical events other people or "outside conditions" bring into your life.
You will need to compromise or change your original approach. You may feel coerced into choices that don't look all that appealing -- at the time. It will all be very instructive. Pluto's actions always result in improvements. Things are almost miraculously better in the end. But the chaos "in the meantime" can be substantial.
If Life tilts abruptly before it straightens out again (and throws absolutely everything temporarily out of balance!!), keep this promise in mind. Sometimes that promise is the best life preserver you have.
If you've always known there was more to Astrology than Sun Sign material and the three line daily horoscope in the newspaper, climb aboard and follow this blog. You'll find a world of wisdom detailing how you were designed to work with life ... and why you are the way you are -- all in quick-to-read, easy-to-digest-and-remember, written-in-plain-English essays that offer plenty of food for thought.
Little by little, I'm doing a set of articles that talks about all the elements in your horoscope and what they have to say about you. If you "know something" about Astrology -- or know something about your chart placements, that will help you get more from this material.
If you don't ... well, this is one place you can learn. We all have to start somewhere ... because we aren't born knowing this stuff. Meanwhile, if you've never seen your horoscope ... and don't have a clue how to work with it, maybe it's time to find out. There are lots of "chart services" on the internet -- some of whom produce decent, readable charts "for free" and some are so awful and confusing that even I can't read them easily -- and I've worked with charts for decades.
One extremely user-friendly chart site is here: AstroLabe. I recommend them if you want a simple, easy-to-read chart. I think they even give a reasonable little interpretive reading of your horoscope as part of the package. You'll need to know your birth information -- day, month, year, time and geographical place. Without all that your chart will have limited accuracy.
Or, if you want to get serious and really talk about this, upvote this post and start a conversation in the comments section sometime in the next six days from the time of publication. We'll go from there depending on what you want to know.
Questions about any of this? -- Upvote this post and talk to me in comments. It's a terrific way to build value for yourself and the community ... and it will give me ideas of what to write about in future posts. Believe me there is lots to say about the way The Sun, The Moon -- and all the other elements in a horoscope, all the other components of Astrology -- work together to interpret you and your story -- and what it all means to the person you've become.
Although sometimes the background pictures in our visual essays support the topic and text, they don't always. Sometimes the connection is clear. Sometimes it's symbolic and subtle. Sometimes, there's no connection at all.
The scenes depict landscapes and natural features, buildings and wildlife. They were chosen because they show something lovely or interesting ... or simply because the photo appealed to me.
Our spectacular and remarkable planet is changing at astonishing speed. Rarely are these changes for the better. Few people seem to know ... or care ... or have the will and power to do anything about this. It may not be long before the world humans have known and lived in for centuries is forever lost. We certainly won't be able to make repairs as fast as we destroyed it.
So a few years ago I began collecting pictures of the way things were ... and still are for now, a record of the beauty we have while it is still ours to love and honor.
The photos here are part of that collection, with sincere thanks to the artists who saw these moments ... and with their cameras ... preserved them. All of us at Enchanted Spirit are profoundly grateful to them for their generosity and skill ... and for the added grace, depth and dimension their art brings to ours.
