Beat Battle League Week #14 | Make A Beat for the Provided Vocals Contest Submission
Theme for this Week's Beat Battle League Week #14 is to produce a Beat using the provided vocals by the judges of the MC DamonkIAM (@andrewlyte )
My approach to this week's contest was quiet different then usual, as usually we are provided with a Theme or a Story to create music around it, but this week for the first time we were provided by an acapella vocal that is already recorded and we have to build the music around it from scratch.
Given that i don't know the artist MC DamonkIAM yet, i went and did some background research on him, his personality and what he's into, went through the vocals provided over and over so i can transcend all my finding and his personality into the beat i am making for him.
Once the identity and feel was identified, it was clear what direction i want to take and i just executed and produced the beat around the theme i chose which is MC DamonkIAM "Persona". I wont spoil the surprise so it's up to you to listen and feel the elements and vibe that was cooked for this...
