Till Death do Us Part - Beautiful Sunday

Today let me share with you a Sunday full of love and beauty. A future full of hope and happiness. Let me take you with me on a wedding day.

This is the wedding of my colleague from work which I got invited. I have been telling her that I have started taking photos as a hobby and asked if I could take some shots at her wedding to get some practice. She was excited and told me to do my best as she saw some of my works. They also hired a professional photography crew to cover the wedding. I arrived early and checked the best spots to take my shots. I also took into consideration that I should stay away from the view of the photography crew as I do not want to ruin their shots and video.

I went outside to also check if there maybe something interesting that I should shoot. Found some office mates outside and was asked to take some shots of them. It turned out good but have not included it on this post as this is about special day of my colleague.

Back inside it was getting busier as the ceremony was about to start. Everyone is very excited as we could see this daddy is very thrilled of her cute little flower girl.

The march began the flower girls started to shower the aisle with petals and when it was time for the little girl. Giggles were heard from the crowd as the little flower girl started to pick up the petals dropped by the other girls. Each step she picked up a petal and placed it in her small basket. As you could see her mom tried desperately to guide her child along the way. These are one of those priceless moments that should be captured.

When it was time for the bride to enter. The doors of the church were closed and it was dark to create a dramatic entrance. Then the two huge doors were opened along with a creaking sound light from outside flooded the aisle seeing only the white silhouette of the bride.

While she was marching I could clearly see her eyes filled with tears of joy. I was also overwhelmed by the scene and found myself also teary eyed.

As she was walking I tried to take a shot of her every step. I found myself running and finding a spot but forgot to change lenses with the auto focus. As you could see that the shot is not sharp and I was manually focusing on a moving subject. I hope you excuse me as I am not a professional and my first time to shoot a wedding. I cannot find myself doing this as a professional the pressure is intense if you did not capture the crucial scenes. Scenes that cannot be re created in this ceremony. I guess I would just to stick as a hobbyist as the pressure is too intense for me.

I was staying away from the line of sight of the crew and just tried to find a few spots where I could shoot. The crew were in front of the altar during the ceremony taking the best shots. I was just imagining taking a shot when putting on the ring and let's leave it to the experts.

Found myself taking the crowd and the church as my subject for the meantime. Looking for those perfect moments that can be very memorable.

I can still recall my post two months ago with this church which was very magical Take Me to Church "St. Mary Magdalene Church". You can read thru it if interested about this beautiful church.

Beautiful moments from the crowd during the ceremony. We had a garden wedding when we were married but the church wedding is very solemn. But still when we renew our vows in the future I would still go for the beach theme as that is me. Still this wedding was a beautiful sight and experience.

I'm glad I was part of this memorable experience in the life of my colleague. Witnessing this beautiful event is an honor and being able to capture some scenes opens up more ideas to capture life as it passes us by. Every moment can never be brought back and I need to look closer as I might just miss it.
