MOSCOW CRAFT BEER BAR TOUR 4 (PART 2). My Husband's Overview.

As I wrote in CRAFT BEER BARS IN MOSCOW. My Husband's Overview. Part I., Moscow Craft Beer Bar Tour #2. My Husband's Overview, Moscow Craft Beer Bar Tour #3. My Husband's Overview. and Moscow Craft Beer Bar Tour #4 (Part I). My Husband's Overview. my husband (Dutch who lived in the US for about 20 years) and his friend (Russian) go out once a week to have some beer and investigate new beer places.

This is his 4th overview (Part II). Enjoy and join them if you like)))

This is the fourth (part II) craft beer bar tour in Moscow. If you have a beer related blog or website and find these stories useful, feel free to post them wherever you want!!

Glav Piv Mag

A couple of doors up from Beer Mood on Chistoprudny blvd. #21 is Glav Piv Mag I had visited this place before and what I like about it is that in front they have a very well stocked beer shop. In the back is a kind of a design place with a good beer selection but a little bit too high prices I think. They also serve in smaller glasses so you get screwed twice. Still, for a one beer stop or just to buy beer to take home it’s an ok place but if you are looking for a place for a longer visit, go to Beer Mood!!

Good Time Bar

A brisk walk from these two last places brings us to Good Time Bar on Ulitsa Mashkova 20. It’s a genuine craft beer bar with a changing beer selection and staff who know their trade. They have a kitchen where they make some mean burgers but don’t order too close to closing time as the cook will not be happy as we found out. When we were there last time they had a guest brewery giving out free samples of their brews. Great idea to have breweries come out and have them introduce their latest product to the Hop Hunter community. Nice interior and ample toilet facilities, so I give it two thumbs up!

The Mug, Bottle, Cauldron craft bar

The last bar we hit that evening was The Mug, Bottle, Cauldron craft bar on Pokrovka Street 50. This place has kind of a U shaped layout. Upon entering there is the bar with a nice selection and good staff. There are two more rooms that wrap around the bar giving you some quiet space if you want to enjoy your beer over good conversation. It’s funny how all of these craft beer places manage to each have their own style and atmosphere. The crowd was pleasurably mixed and I ended up helping one of them with his English self-study practice. As said; nice selection and good prices, two thumbs up.
