Took this photo during my recent trip to Cocora Valley in Colombia. The nest was found behind a semi-abandoned building among coils of barbed wire, skillfully built from moss. I find this things appalling (barbed wires and fences, not the nests), but unfortunately it's everywhere in South America.
It was in Acaime La Casa de los ColibrÃes - a place full of tiny hummingbirds flashing by, not paying much attention to the big slow humans. We were very careful not to disturb the nest, that's why I'm not even sure how many nestlings were there. One bald head is clearly visible though.
