🗞 Fidelity Digital Assets to Sign Up Its First Crypto Exchange by End of the Year

Fidelity Digital Assets (FDAS), the young cryptocurrency trading business of a financial-services powerhouse, expects to sign its first exchange by the end of the year, according to its president Tom Jessop.

As a brokerage, FDAS helps institutional investors get the best deal buying or selling bitcoin from various sources. So far, those have all been over-the-counter (OTC) trading desks.

“Between launching our trading platform five months ago to year-end, we will have more than doubled the number of liquidity providers,” Jessop told CoinDesk, declining to say exactly how many that would be. “We are primarily focused on OTC liquidity providers. It's likely we will connect to our first exchange perhaps before year-end.”

The move would likely give FDAS access to a broader market and liquidity for smaller trades. OTC desks primarily trade with larger institutions and high-roller “whale” investors, whereas exchanges serve retail traders and smaller institutions.

🗞 Bitcoin Drops to $7,000 as China Vows to ‘Dispose of’ Local Exchanges

Cryptocurrency exchanges operating illegally in China face a new threat after the central bank announced it would take new steps to uphold its trading ban.

In a statement on Nov. 21, the People’s Bank of China (PBoC) warned it was taking action against entities allegedly involved in trading cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin (BTC).
PBoC: Exchanges “will be disposed of immediately”

The move was in response to a rise in trading activity following China’s public endorsement of blockchain technology, it said.

Pledging to keep its promise to outlaw trading, the PBoC vowed to “dispose of” any such activity it discovered under its jurisdiction.

🗞 Franklin Templeton Taps Wallet Service Provider to Support Tokenized Shares

Franklin Templeton Investments, the global investment firm looking to track shares of a money market fund on the Stellar blockchain, has tapped wallet service provider Curv to help safeguard its shares.

The companies announced Thursday that Curv would be responsible for helping Franklin Templeton build the transaction signing and management system for its fund. Curv, which developed a series of multi-party computation protocols, seeks to remove the need for private keys, which it calls a "single point of failure" on a blockchain platform, according to a press release.

Itay Malinger, Curv CEO and co-founder, told CoinDesk that his company's software solution would also help the company scale its system.

🗞 ICE Officially Confirms Dec. 9 Launch of Cash-Settled Bitcoin Futures

The Intercontinental Exchange (ICE)’s Bakkt platform has officially confirmed its forthcoming launch of a cash-settled Bitcoin (BTC) futures contract.

In a news release published Nov. 22, ICE — the operator of 23 leading global exchanges, including the New York Stock Exchange — revealed that the contract will be listed on ICE Futures Singapore as of Dec. 9.
Rule changes open to review until Nov. 29

During the Invest: NYC conference earlier this month, Bakkt COO Adam White had been the first to publicly reveal Bakkt had its sights on a cash-settled option.

Today’s announcement formally confirms the details leaked to the press by insider sources, specifically that the contract will be cleared by ICE Clear Singapore and has sealed approval from the city state’s de facto central bank and financial regulator, the Monetary Authority of Singapore.

🗞 Binance Denies Police Raids, Very Existence of Shanghai Offices

Recent reports that Chinese authorities have raided the offices of leading cryptocurrency exchange Binance, are actually quite false.

Speaking to Cointelegraph on Nov. 21, a Binance spokesperson refuted media reports that Chinese police had raided and subsequently shut down the exchange’s Shanghai offices. Furthermore, the spokesperson stated that no such offices even exist:

“The Binance team is a global movement consisting of people working in a decentralized manner wherever they are in the world. Binance has no fixed offices in Shanghai or China, so it makes no sense that police raided on any offices and shut them down.”

STEEM Trading Update by my friend @cryptopassion

Here is the chart of my last analysis :

Here is the current chart :

So as I was afraid yesterday, we confirmed the break of the support line at 0.138$ and the immediate direction has been to go at the support line created by the previous LOW on the STEEM. It is very sad to see again the STEEM at that level but it is just the reality of the market. So now I think we will need to wait the reaction of the marlet regarding the BTC. We are on the BTC on an important support but if that one is broken, for sure STEEM will create new lows... Just a little tip for investors, I know it is not a pleasant period but this is during these period that you should buy, not during the periods where STEEM is at 7$ ;)
