Before we get into the speculation, let's start with the facts – bitcoin has been declared dead more than 200 times.

Despite the fact that the world's first cryptocurrency has operated with near-100 percent uptime (for almost 10 years), it's still fashionable to predict its demise. Even supposedly smart people are known for propagating something I'll call "bitcoin derangement syndrome." They keep predicting bitcoin's demise even though they are daily proven wrong.

🗞 Russia Developing System to Identify Crypto Miners but Considers Giving Them Tax Break

A Russian ministry is preparing a bill for the regulation of cryptocurrency mining which reportedly includes a “special system” to detect crypto miners. In addition, there may be a 2-year tax break for miners as well as energy quotas and special tariffs.

"There will be a special system for detecting miners – according to the structure of current consumption and Internet traffic, to correlate the capacity of the mining equipment with the amount of cryptocurrency that the miner declares on the crypto exchange."

🗞 BitPay’s E-Commerce Plugins Now Support Bitcoin Cash Payments

Allowing more companies and retailers to accept cryptocurrency payments will not be easy. In fact, it has been rather problematic over the past few years. Payment processors such as BitPay aim to contribute in this regard by releasing convenient plugins for WooCommerce, PrestaShop, and others. These plugins have now received an update which allows users to accept Bitcoin Cash as well.
