πŸ—ž Leaks Everywhere – How Much Of Your Data is Being Used by Third Parties?

Whether you know it or not, unless you are using a VPN, almost every action you make online is recorded digitally. Facebook, Yahoo, CNN, Youtube and Amazon –to name a few are all using algorithms to track users’ online behaviour, and using this data themselves, or selling it on to third parties, like advertising agencies.

Thanks to the the European Union Regulation (EU)2016/679, commonly know as General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) as of May 2018 companies will be legally obliged to obtain explicit consent from consumers to use their data, and will face hefty fines if found to be illegally storing or sharing information. However, as it stands, most people are totally unaware of the amount of data that is being compiled about them on a day to day basis.

Where do they collect most of your data without you knowing?

πŸ—ž Microsoft CEO Challenges Swift: Build 'Useful' Blockchain Applications

Following a question posed onstage by Swift CEO Gottfried Leibbrandt about the whether blockchain was all it's been cracked up to be, Nadella responded definitively.

He told the audience:

"There's real tangible progress that can be made. But, I think it's in your hands that it has to be converted into things that are very useful."

"Ever since at least I've been in this industry, we've always looked for a distributed database with a trust harness that allows multiple organizations to collaborate, and that performs," he said, continuing:

"Clearly, the blockchain and the distributed ledger that exists underneath it, I think is a very novel implementation, which I believe can have massive implications."

πŸ—ž Coinmall Hopes to Build an Ebay for Digital Goods Powered by Cryptocurrency

This week we looked at a new cryptocurrency-based marketplace called, Coinmall.io, a platform that allows users to purchase digital goods with bitcoin and litecoin. Further, news.Bitcoin.com discussed the marketplace platform with its founder, Yousef Abdulhassan, who explains the project recently launched its alpha version this month.

Coinmall does think it is a competitor to decentralized alternatives like Openbazaar.

β€œOur marketplace is also a lot more convenient to use thanks to the fact that it is centralized,” Abdulhassan details. β€œFor example, we are able to perform off-ledger transactions, and as such are able to support the purchase and sale of extremely low-value products.”

β€œThese low-value products can’t be sold on decentralized platforms since the transaction fees or moderator fees would be too high.”

BTC Trading Update by @cryptopassion

Today it looks like the Bitcoin is doing a little correction. It is never a good news but perhaps it is to create the pattern that I talked to you yesterday here : Inverted Head and Shoulders.

In blue, I traced the pattern that we started to make and in green what the Bitcoin needs to continue to do to validate the Inverted Head and Shoulders. Please understand that most of the time, we don't have a perfect pattern so these lines give only an indication, but we won't follow them closely.

Let's see if the coming hours confirm that hypothesis.
