Continuing the Selfie Fun - Week 2 of this madness

Proof that Contests are fun.

I have been mentioning, if you follow me, how fun contests can be. This is one that has been quite silly and quite fun at times so it has definitely been a contest worth my time. I get into some as often as I can, although usually not as frequently as an everyday thing like this.

Selfie Madness Continues

I am not going to lie, I am pretty sure this will last quite a while. The last count put still just under 50 people competing and the prize keeps getting bigger. If you aren't sure what the Selfie Contest is I am talking about it is run by @papa-pepper. He has the contestants (who registered and have not missed a day so far, or been disqualified) take a new selfie each day based on whatever parameters he puts out. This has been the second week of this contest. If you want to see what I did my first week with this contest check out my post here

Let's dive right into Week 2:

Day 8: Having a hand (human hand) in the picture

This was interesting and I wanted to have a little bit of fun with it. There was never a rule where you had to see the fingers in the picture so I took a picture after a nice sweat session in my home gym, after kickboxing. It was a silly one as I am still obviously a bit sweaty, but a fun one none the less.

Day 9: Have a knife in the selfie with you

I envisioned this a little bit better than how I was actually able to execute it, but at least my idea kind of came to fruition. I was, however, keeping an eye on my makeshift knife hanger. It was great because I also got a bonus point for this, so well worth the time, it took to set it up.

Day 10: Have water in the picture with you

I will admit, I got a bit risque with this one. I made sure to take it at the proper angle, but I wanted to be different. I was definitely the only one in a shower like this though, so good for me I suppose. The hardest part was actually making sure that my phone didn't get wet. Mission accomplished successfully.

Day 11: Have a Vehicle in the picture

This was the day I went to the amusement park, you would think I would take a picture in front of my car before I went to go in knowing this challenge was out there, but No, I didn't. So when the time was starting to crunch down I was trying to find something to take a picture with. Guess what? Rollercoasters, by a technicality, would not count, they can't drive themselves. I even tried to sneak pictures with the many many many people that day driving around in motorized scooters. But nope, couldn't get a decent one. Finally, after walking around I spied a vehicle behind a fence and jumped at the chance to take a shot. Phew.

Day 12: Cash or Coin in the shot (legal tender)

This was easy. I just had to decide if I was going to go with the usual US tender or do a shout out to my place of birth. So, I went ahead and took a picture with a Canadian Toonie. These beauties are no longer in production but they are still considered legal tender so it counts.

Day 13: Four more people in the shot with you. Only 4 extras plus yourself

This one was hard. I don't have a large family, just my husband, my daughter, and myself and then pets. So, when this challenge came up I was not sure what to do. I had planned to go out to the park in our neighborhood where I thought it was going to be easy to complete this challenge, but of course, it was raining most of the day. I was tired and didn't want to go out but I didn't want to lose yet. I had to get creative. So, I went out to the grocery store to get a couple of things. It is harder than you think to make sure there are exactly 4 people behind you in the shot. At times I was standing in an isle just waiting for more people to walk down the same one. There were either not enough or too many people around. I left there and decided to go to Walgreens thinking I might have better luck. After going up and down isles I finally saw a second cash register open and it was my chance. I snapped the picture. The funny thing is there was someone in the aisle with me on the other side of my phone and to get the shot it looked like I may have been snapping a picture of him but I wasn't. After I successfully captured it I left to go upload it to the challenge. Good news is, my creeping got me a bonus point.

Day 14: Fire & Water in your shot

This was pretty easy today. I liked having a couple of different elements to it. I was not overly creative I will admit, but I got it in so I am okay with it.

I hope you had fun looking at all of these. It certainly has been an interesting contest thus far and does not have any end in sight. Let's see how long this will keep going. My competition is pretty fierce.

As usual, Stay Awesome Steemians!
