Don't Waste Your Money On Buying A Domain Name For Your Blog Or Trying To Make Money From Ads, At Least Not Until You Try Steemit

Okay I am going to be brutally honest. It is hard to make money from a blog. You can buy a site, work on it for a year, run as many ads as you want and still get nowhere. There is a lot of competition. You will need already established channels of viewers to direct to your post. You will need to master SEO which, again, is highly competitive and your blog can easily drown in search engines as other pages with more expertise and more viewers soar above you. You can pay to have your website appear higher on search engines but that is even more expensive then buying a domain. And you need lots of views to make any real money, and I mean a lot of views. Blogging is hard.

But I don't want to discourage you from making money writing or working from home. It is great to be able to write about what you want or vlog and make a living. And being able to work from anyone is pretty sweet. You can do it in your pjs :p. With mobile internet, you can bring your laptop with you and even make money on a vacation. If this is something you want to do, you really should try steemit. This is where I blog and I am starting to make some good money. There are no ads, it is free to use and your work gets indexed in google searches. The site works with a cryptocurrency called steem (think bitcoin) and a certain amount is given out each day. It is split by the users depending on who gets the votes for their content (and if you have more steem put away your vote is worth more). It is a new way of monetizing, one that can make content creators serious money.

And it's free! You have nothing to lose to join, post a few things and see if you like it. Literally, you can post a photo of your cat and say hi. You are doing that on other sites now and there is no chance you will get paid for them. If you already have a blog, I think most users on here would even be okay if you want to repsot a couple of your best posts on steemit to see if you like it before you start to make new work on your blog. And if you can't cut and paste an old blog, add a picture and post it, for free, maybe blogging isn't the job choice for you :p.

Are you new here, let me know in the comments :)
