The perfect Sunday morning treat:
Yay, the weekend is coming up! Got anything special planned out? Last Sunday we decided to stay home so we decided to make a Sunday morning treat - fresh, hot, fluffy pancakes with maple syrup and a few more treats on the side to start the day with:)
I tried soooo many pancake recipes over the years and FINALLY I’d like to share with you the BEST one ever! Thanks to my sister-in-law who was kind enough to share the family’s secret recipe :) (unfortunately, she is not on Steemit, yet…). This is a fast and simple recipe and usually you may have all the ingredients at hand.
Light Fluffy Pancakes
Ingredients:
2 cups flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
A pinch of salt
4 tablespoons sugar
1½ cups milk
2 eggs
8 tablespoons oil
Method:
In a large bowl, sift together the dry ingredients. Make a well in the center and add in the wet ingredients. Mix until combined:
Let the mix sit for about 15 minutes:
Heat a lightly oiled, non-stick frying pan over medium heat. Butter the cooking surface the pancake rings (any size) and scoop the batter with a spoon into the rings. When bubbles form on the surface, flip over the pancake and cook for another minute:
- Serve hot with: maple/yoghurt/sour-cream/honey/grated apple/berries/strawberries or any topping you desire on top or on the side and have a great morning!
