Helo friends, I made a simple tutorial on how to convert Steem to Bitshares token using wallet.bitshares.org.
First you must have a bitshares wallet.

Log into your account on wallet.bitshares.org
Click on the three horizontal lines
Click on Deposit (beta)
Click on the box to select STEEM
After selecting STEEM, click on the Gateway box
Click on OPENLEDGER
After clicking OPENLEDGER a Steem deposit address with memo will be generated.
👉copy the receiving address: openledger-dex
👉 the memo should be your bitshares username for proper routing to your account
Login to your steemit account, click on wallet, click on steem then select transfer, input the details correctly click on submit to process the transaction.
The transaction should be processed within few seconds.
Login back to wallet.bitshares.org
Click on dashboard (the icon beside bitshares logo).
Check the activity log to confirm if the deposit was successful
Click on the bitshares logo, then click on featured markets.
Type Steem on the search box.
List of Steem pairing will show up.
Select open.Steem: BTS
After clicking open.Steem: BTS, it will direct you to this page. Scroll down to see buy and sell section.
Since we are coverting Steem to Bts (bitshares) we will use the sell option.
Scroll down to sell open.Steem, input the number of steem you want to convert to bts then click Sell
1 Steem = 11.59612 bts
Confirm the transaction
Check the activity log to confirm if the bts was bought.
