Canada was 150 this year

If you are Canadian you definitely knew this. There were many great events put on by local cities who received grants from the government. Hopefully you all had a chance to partake in a few of them. If you aren't Canadian it is possible that you had not idea!
On behalf of Canada turning a century and a half there was a logo created and plastered on t-shirts and television commercials everywhere. There is a television station in our province call TVO (TV Ontario) and it plays educational shows pretty much the entire time. We spend a lot of time on this channel as TVO Kids has a great line up. Luke loves the shows and he learns new things while watching them. TVO Kids had a summer contest called summer of Canada. Kids had to take a picture with a Canada flag or a maple leaf and send it in. There were prizes given out through out the summer and Luke kept asking to enter.
One day while driving we came across this sculpture that someone had created of the Canada 150 logo. It was our perfect chance. We pulled over and took a few photos and videos.
As the contest came to a close, Luke was very disappointed that he did not win anything from the station. I told him it was okay not to win all of the time. The most important thing was the fun we had taking the pictures. This was true. He loved it. His response was that maybe we should take some more pictures.
Here are a few of the ones that we sent in
