We are now three weeks into the A Dollar A Day project.
So far the project has donated the equivalent of almost US$ 800 in 20 daily donations to 10 very worthy projects around the world.
In the past week two new projects in Venezuela have joined the list of causes that A Dollar A Day donates to.
Reny @malos10 and his father @rapo are helping people in need in their local community with food parcels. @bigdude is providing shoes for children that desperately need them. Both these projects have received donations of 15 SBD each so far.
Alongside these two new Venezuelan projects A Dollar A Day has been donating to @schoolforsdg4 (40 SBD) and @womenempowerment (30 SBD) in Bangladesh, @thegreens (25 SBD) in Cameroon, @papilloncharity (45 SBD) in South Africa, @bobydimitrov's community garden (15 SBD) in Bulgaria, the @intrepidsurfer tree planting project (15 SBD) in Peru, @tarc animal rescue centre (45 SBD) in the USA, and @familyprotection (45 SBD) in North America and around the world.
The number of generous steemians who have contributed SBDs has now reached 22 and to everyone one of them I am extremely grateful.

I would like to give special thanks to @goldendawne who has increased her daily donation to 3 SBD, to @cryptocurator who is now giving 2 SBD each day, and to @steemcommunity witness (run by @abh12345 and @paulag) who has committed to give ongoing support to the project.
In addition to my regular daily donation, I am also using post rewards to top up the daily donations to 15 SBD. I have so far donated 93 SBD in total.
Thanks also to @hopehuggs who is supporting the project by giving daily donations directly to people in Venezuela.
Special thanks also to @ausbitbank, @beanz, @canadian-coconut, @eturnerx, @markwhittam, @roxane and @starkerz for their generous upvotes on the project posts. These are being recycled back into enhancing the daily donations.
Unfortunately the SBD value has dropped recently but with the current levels of donations the A Dollar A Day project should be distributing the equivalent of around US $1250 in the first month.
If anyone else would like to join in the project donating 1 SBD each day, even if only for a few days, it would be great to have you on board. Maybe we can get the monthly total up to US$1500 !
@malos10 and @rapo in Venezuela
Reny @malos10 and his father Reinaldo @rapo have been involved in steemit funded community projects for almost a year.
They have been helping their community with food, clothes, supplies to a local orphanage and with repairing a children's playground.
Their latest project, which A Dollar A Day has supported, was to provide much needed food parcels to 11 local families.
@bigdude in Venezuela
Project Dudeland, run by @bigdude, has likewise been very active supporting the local community and local schools with steemit funded donations of food, books and supplies.
@bigdude's current project is to provide new shoes to 100 local children. He has so far distributed 30 pairs of shoes. A Dollar A Day is helping to provide some of the remaining 70 pairs.
A Dollar A Day is continuing to regularly support the @familyprotection project founded and run by @canadian-coconut and @markwhittam, @papilloncharity in South Africa, @schoolforsdg4 and @womenempowerment run by @azizbd in Bangladesh, and @tarc animal rescue centre run by @rhondak in the USA.
I am also actively looking for new projects to support. I am currently appraising two new projects in Indonesia and Venezuela. I would particularly welcome new projects in countries where A Dollar A Day has not yet made any donations.
