[vlog # 13] Better Vlogging Sound | DIY | Recording & Merging

Hooray Readers! Bringing yet another fun and crazy video to the community - Mr.P on Video!

Hello, hello Steemians, dTubers and any other Monsters out there! This is the second and last video of my tutorial on how to get a better sound quality on a budget. With the tips presented on the first video, and on this one, you'll be able to externally record your voice while cycling and prevent those annoying wind noises.

If you haven't checked the first video, I gave you some ideas on how you can build an inexpensive microphone out of a cellphone earphone and make it look like a lapel one - it works better than you imagine, check that out:

Without further ado, on today's video I'll continue with the tutorial showing you the actual recording proccess. Starting with the application I use and how I merge the external sound with the video from the camera. Enjoy!

Video Summary

You'll see:

  • How to record your voice on your Android smartphone;
  • The difference between the normal sound and the microphone sound;
  • Two important settings on Rec Forge II voice recorder;
  • How to merge the external sound with the video footage.

The video explains all the steps with examples of quality improvement, but just in case you feel confident on trying without seeing the video, here is what you'll need:

  • A lapel microphone (can be a true one or the DIY version we made);
  • Android phone with Rec Forge II voice recorder;
  • An editor to merge the sound with the video (Vegas, Premier, etc).

Now if you watch the video you'll learn a small tip that will make the merging part much easier, watch it and you shall not regret.

I hope you have enjoyed this tips, and if you do try a DIY microphone, please, comment down below your impressions.
