It's been brought to my attention by a few people that the rules of the contest are a bit confusing, and while a number of people seem to understand just fine and are playing the game without problem, I admit that the rules are a bit confusing. I mentioned in the OP that I'm new to this and making it up as I go, so please bear with me.

I'm going to be making an attempt to simplify the rules soon, and also to add some extra context that people have mentioned that I overlooked. But as I said before, I'm new at this.. Please be patient and try to understand.

Also, a new rule and just a rule for the judges.
Judges can only vote at the end of the competition to give a chance for everyone to submit their entry and have it be viewed. UNLESS a judge is so busy that they think they will be unavailable to vote when the challenge ends, if that's the case.. Then a judge can vote earlier.

Moving on to the contest now. I recently created a challenge to come up with the best contest idea and even though that challenge is still ongoing and hasn't finished yet.. One of the ideas was so good I decided to implement it as soon as I could. He hasn't technically won the challenge, and someone else can still win that one, yet.. Either way I feel like this idea is too important, so today we are starting the 5th challenge and it will be called "deliberator's help a beginner quest."

The idea is to search the #introduceyourself tag and go find someone new who has recently introduced themselves to the steemit community and who is a lower reputation than you are, and then you are sort of going to "sponsor" this beginner. Your mission after you find the beginner you want to help is...
To write up a short little paragraph or a couple paragraph explanation of why you think we should pick your beginner to be the beginner we choose to celebrate this round. (You can write a longer one or even get extra creative and do a video or a song or something like that if you really want to, but.. As a minimum you should put in at least a paragraph or two of text in your entry)

Also.. Since this is a "help the beginners" quest, please try to help your beginner with any questions they may have about steemit in general. If you can help them with something they are having trouble understanding or teach them more about how all this works, then I think that will be a great thing! :D

This contest was inspired by this post by deliberator, so any of you can thank him if you want to. :)

The rules are..

You must create your own blog post on your page in regards to the challenge with a title mentioning the specific contest, IE something like.. "Information Finding Championship - Season 1 : Round 5 entry" and then link it here on this page in the comments below. And you also have to use the #informationfinding tag in your blog post as well.

Whoever brings the best entry as voted upon by myself and the judges in relation to what I request wins the round.

For this challenge.. If there's a tie.. Ummm... Then I'll get a guest judge to come in and make the final decision.

The winner will be decided by whoever gets the most votes.
The only people who can vote in a qualifying sense are myself and the four judges I've selected and we will vote by leaving a comment on the submission that we like the most and say something like.. "I vote for this one" and a reason why we voted would be good too, but is not mandatory.

I would also like to say this challenge is a team effort in a sense, both the pitch of the beginners sponsor and the actual introduction post of the beginner will both be considered and weighed in the total vote. AND.. The two will 50/50 share the reward of this challenge post.

You have until this challenges post payout ends to submit your post.

The challenge will finish after 7 days when the post ends and provides its payout cycle and unless there is a tie, the one with the most votes will get a level up and a point to go towards their long term win and the steem/sbd from the challenge (minus the 25% or so for curation)

Just in case anyone is confused.. To clarify again in regards to the rules.
