Okay, so this was an original post by the great @goldenarms You can check it out Here
I thought that this would make a great hashtag as I would love to read and reminisce about all the great toys and gifts that came out when we were kids. @goldenarms choose Otimus Prime. This was an awsome chioce. I loved transformers when I was a kid. I watched the original cartoon every week. I had the Optims Prime toy but I really wanted Bumble Bee but never did get him.
So lets hear what you best gift was and use the hashtag #bestgift

I will 100% upvote, resteem and give out 10 Steem for the gift that I like the best!

So what was my favourtie gift?

Without a doubt it was the Lego Pirate Ship!

This ship was released in 1989. I would have bee 11 at the time but I still remember it as clear as yesterday. I was a big Lego geek but mostly only had little sets. I had a few and the knights and castle kits as well as a few robin hood type sets. Every time we went to Toys R us (which was huge back in the day) I would drag my parents over and show them the pirate ship. I was one of four children so big expensive gifts were not something we got very often. I remember being dissapointed on Christmas morning when I didnt get the set. I think my big gift from my parents was some hockey equipment or something. I love how they used Christmas as I chance to give me something that they had to buy me anyway and pretend it was a gift. Like I was dreaming about a new pair of shin pads.

After Christmas morning at our house, we always went with my mom to my grandparents place for lunch and some more gifts. My gift was just a small box under the tree. I opened it up and it was a letter inside. It send me on a little scavenger hunt with the final destination being the bathroom shower. I pulled back the curtain and let out a scream like a 5 year old. It was the pirate ship. I couldn't believe it.
I played with that thing forever. In fact I still have it. My son and I downloaded the instructions off of the internet and were able to put most of it together. We had to substitute some of the pieces with other Lego sizes or colours. But it was great. Since then my son has actually started to get into lego as well. We mostly get Lego Star Wars and Lego City sets.
For Christmas this year he is getting two different Lego sets but the gift he really wants is a Goalie Stick for road hockey. Lets hope Santa can give him a good Christmas to remember.

So how about you?
