South Korean Government Released New Guidelines For Crypto Exchanges And Banks

Guidelines for cryptocurrency regulatory measures was officially released by the South Korean government announced by the Vice Chairman of the Financial Services Commission (FSC), Kim Yong-bum, which includes the new real-name system and anti-laundering guidelines.

The real-name account system will replace the current virtual account issuance used to deposit and withdraw money for cryptocurrency exchanges’ customers.

The said system will be live on January 30, the existing virtual accounts will be converted and new members will undergo strict identification procedures in order to be added.

Six major banks such as Shinhan Bank, Nonghyup Bank, Kookmin Bank, Hana Bank, and Gwangju Bank, will implement the new system and ensure the fulfillment of anti-money laundering obligations.


Brisbane Airport Now Accepts Cryptocurrencies - A First In The Whole World

Brisbane Airport (BNE), Autralia’s third-busiest airport, will be accepting cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, Dash and the like, and introducing it to be used in digital currencies purchase by travelers.

With its partnership with Queensland-based bitcoinpayments startup TravlebyBit, it will implement the firm’s point-of-sale payments system to retail stores in its airport’s two terminals allowing travelers to dine and shop using digital currencies.

Moreover, Australian airport will be the first in the world to accept cryptocurrencies.

And according to Roel Hellemons, Brisbane Airport Corporation (BAC) general manager of strategic planning and development, it makes sense offering digital currencies within their terminal for many people have already investing in it and they travel much internationally.
