A Japanese Retail Giant Yamada Denki Now Accepts Bitcoin Payments

One of the largest retailer of consumer electronics in Japan, Yamada Denki has recently begun accepting Bitcoin payments in two of its Tokyo-based branches and will roll out in all of its stores nationwide.

The two stores in Tokyo are located in two of the busiest areas in the country where plenty of businesses are located and foreign visitors can be seen.

Yamada has partnered with Bitflyer for Bitcoin payments using its point-of-sale payment infrastructure.


The National Pension Fund In South Korea Indirectly Invests In Cryptocurrencies

The National Pension Fund (NPS) of South Korea has been investing indirectly to cryptocurrencies through cryptocurrency exchanges such as Bithumb, Korbit, Coinplug and Upbit.

This was revealed during the government releasing regulatory measures for cryptocurrencies.

NPS is the 3rd largest pension fund in the world which was established in 1987 with a goal to promote national welfare in retirement, disability or death cases.

News say that NPS has invested 2.6 billion won in four crypto exchanges through two venture capital funds.

The first venture capital fund was invested in the operators of Coinplug and Upbit and the other one was invested in the operators of Bithumb and Korbit.
