Vitalik Buterin Introduces Blockchain Solution That Could Make Exchanges Resistant From Hacks
Developed by Karl Floersch, Dan Robinson and Vitalik Buterin 'Plasma Cash' is a new blockchain scaling solution which could make exchanges hack resistant.
Plasma Cash was introduced by Buterin during a talk in the Ethereum Community Conference in Paris on March 09, 2018.
Plasma Cash is a better and more scalable version of the existing solution 'Plasma'.
Plasma optimizes data that is passed onto the root blockchain which reduces fees for Dapps and smart contracts.
Plasma requires users to download all Plasma blocks and authenticate each of them, thus preventing exponential scalability.
Plasma Cash, in contrary, allows users to verify only the blocks that contain the coins they want to track.
China's Central Bank's Governor Believes Cash Could Become Obsolete
During China's yearly Two Sessions conference in Beijing, the governor of People's Bank of China (PBoC) Zhou Xiaochuan admitted that fiat cash could soon become obsolete.
However, he insisted that the government is in no hurry in releasing a new cryptocurrency.
He believes that a central bank-issued digital currency will prevent speculation & focus on serving the real economy.
The central bank has already established a research on cryptocurrencies in mid-2017 and completed a cryptocurrency trial over a blockchain where several major banks participated.
