Illinois Quietly Filed A Bill To Allow Citizens To Pay Bitcoin For Taxes

The legislators of the state of Illinois have proposed a bill that will allow Bitcoin payments for taxes from the citizens.

The bill which was unreportedly filed in February 2018 is third effort of its kind throughout the United States this year.

The other two states who considered such measures inJanuary 2018 are Arizona and Georgia.

The bill proposes a call to tax officials to accept Bitcoin payments and convert them to US dollar within the day.

The bill is currently under deliberation by the Illinois House Revenue and Finance Committee.


Russian Government To Legalize Crypto Markets By July 2018

Russian authorities are currently planning to pass a new legislation that will legalize cryptocurrency markets by July this year.

There are currently two draft laws that have been developed which are focused on blockchain technology.

One comes from the country’s Ministry of Finance which is centered on legal guidelines of issuing initial coin offerings (ICOs).

The other one comes from the central bank who has prepared a separate law on crowdfunding activities in the crypto world.

While both agree on the main regulatory actions for cryptocurrencies, the central bank is against on crypto exchanges operating in the country.

President Putin has set July 1 as the deadline for relevant crypto legislations to be adopted in Russia.
